Developer Best Practices / Tips and Tricks

I am working on creating a developer best practices/tips and tricks document to be used as a "living, breathing" document for all BP developers in the organization. I know that BP has it's own document of best practices but I am also looking for more practical ideas that you have used/uncovered as you developed automations for your organization. If you are open to sharing that information with me, I would greatly appreciate it.
