How to assign a Document Type Exception Reasons to Data Verification failures

Apologies if I am asking a stupid question but I cannot find out how to map a Document Type Exception Reason I have created (e.g. Missing Mandatory Field Data) to a field within the DFD.

Can this only be done by a Human during the verification stage or is there a way to assign an exception reason at design time based on whether a specific field/s fails validation?

Hi Howard,

Exceptions are designed to be tagged only during data verification stages and at a global level. I.e. for the whole document as such and not at an individual level.

However, you can add comments during the data verification stage to specify the detailed reasons for qualifying it as an exception.
