Multi language environment

Walter.Koller
Level 11
We just upgraded to Blue Prism v6.9 with better support of language, region, culture settings.

In our environment two languages (English and German) may be used for applications and US/English or European data formats (eg date, numbers, ...) may be set, in any combination.
Now we additionally have the possibility to set Blue Prism language, which also change the culture settings.
So it might happen that:
- Windows OS language is English
- Windows culture is European (eg 1.000,00; 13.12.2020)
- Blue Prism is US-EN (which changes formats to 1,000.00; 12/13/2020)

We are in the position to freely change any of those settings.
Is there any recommendation of what should be considered in a multi-language environment and during development to avoid any issues caused by wrong interpretation of formats?

Are there any known issues (beside data formats when reading/writing) when mixing Blue Prism client language settings, eg
- process is developed on US-EN
- Resource is set to System
- client used to start process in Control is set to DE-DE
Issues like, resource is using culture setting of the client used to start the schedule?
Application server culture settings?

Many thanks in advance,
 Walter
