Currently the Blue Prism Application server cannot be load balanced (use F5 for example). We are required to have 1 server hot and the second cold (service stopped). We should be able to run hot/hot, that is both application servers active at the same time.

Why do you think that this is not possible?

it is possible from  version 5. I have not done it on windows clusters but its possible using two separate appservers having same configuration and encryption key sitting behind a load balancer. if WCF with transport encryption is used as the connectivity method you need to have end to end SSL (certificate on server and LB)
from verion 6 you can even enable scheduler on both servers.
Status changed to: Not Planned

Hello @DaveTruby,

As far as I'm aware, what you are describing (load balancing application servers) is already possible within Blue Prism Enterprise, provided you are using a supported load balancer (I believe the load balancer native to AWS environments operates on principles that mean it cannot be used with the BP application server or runtime resources).

Based on this update, I'm going to update this idea to Not Planned.

Regards,

Rob
