Would be great to have access to create code blocks in process level, this to skip all the hassle of creating a new object find all the dlls etc just to build some logic and then call the object from a process.

if the code block was reachable from both levels you could easily build small unique blocks for a single process/purpose, and not litter the object level with several custom code blocks.

I believe the idea of having code stage at object level is something which is core to BP methodology.

Processes were meant as an integration flow so that it can integrate with all portions of the pieces which make up the process.

Can't deny the fact that having code stage at both places will save lot of time. But it may create ambiguity and re-usability concept of code will be compromised.

Codes were kept at object level for achieving high degree of maintainability , re-usability and sanity

Hello Peter,

Thank you for your idea! We take all ideas very seriously and we're continuously trying to improve Blue Prism for our users.

The Ideation Review Panel has now reviewed your idea, but unfortunately we have decided not to move forward with it. While we agree that implementing a code stage at process level could help save time, it would also be in breach with our Blue Prism best practices. These are built on a clear distinction of the process and object layers, where the application logic should lie within the object layer for the purpose of re-usability, efficiency and scalability.

Kind regards
