So when a runtime resource is powered on the runtime resource PC is not running, this will result in the runtime resource showing offline in control room and mean that you cannot run processes on it. Login Agent provides a means to login to the runtime resource and then start the runtime resource PC (usually via a script in the startup folder) so that it is available in control room to run processes. Other than using Login Agent, each runtime resource would need to be manually logged in and the runtime resource PC either gets started automatically via a startup script or started manually. Subsequently each runtime resource would also need to at some point be logged off, again Login Agent allows you to do this automatically.
The login and log off can be done via a schedule, say for example, at the start and end of the business day.
