Hello,

I want to attach to 'confirm save as' dialog  in Edge(IE mode).
17407.pngI tried BO in Edge(IE mode), which was working successfully in IE, it doesn't work.
I tried both 'iexplore' and 'msedge' for the 'Process Name' in attach stage, but could not attach.
Please tell me how to attach.
Thanks in advance. I hate IE mode 😞

Hi Mitsuko,

Edge IE mode is not so bad once you get the hang of it. It seems to work fine and required very little adjustments to get it running in our shop. And you don't have to hate it, there are alternatives to EdgeIE you can consider.

In our shop we went from IE to EdgeIE by copying the IE object and adjusting the copy to EdgeIE. For the attach that meant changing the properties of the Attach action to "msedge" where it previously was "iexplore". Something like this:

Now, about you attachment:
It looks like you're about to create a file called c:\windows.txt. On my PC I would not be allowed to put anything in C:\ so this would not work for me. Perhaps you can try and place the file on the desktop or on c:\temp as those folder usually are not restricted in access?

Finally:

I hated programming in collage in the late 70ies, but still I managed to build a 30+ years career in programming later in life. There's still hope! 🙂

Hi @sumire

If you try to highlight the elements in the application modeller, it works?

If not, try to respy it in Win32 mode. When you need to work with this kind of windows, you must to attach first, try to put "*Confirm*" as Window Title against the Process Name.

Hope this helps you

See you in the community, bye 🙂
