Modifying stage using text editor

I'm trying to add input items to a Start stage in an Object by: copying the start stage to the clipboard pasting it into a text editor adding several new items copying the updated XML back to the clipboard pasting back into the start stage. Unfortunately, when I copy the modified XML back to the clipboard and return to my stage in Object Studio Paste is no longer available. I'm able to do this in Process Studio but have had no luck in Object Studio. Anyone get this to work? Thanks. Les

I just tried and it's working on Object Studio. I'm using BP version 6.2 The clipboard will not be available if there is an error on the XML structure.

If it doesn't paste back in then you've made an editing mistake. BP validates what's on your clipboard and only allows valid BP XML to be pasted.
