Page not loading initially when website URL is passed to Application Modeler.

Hello,
I have passed a url of the target browser application to the application modeler in the application modeler wizard. The page initially does not load on launch and displays that this page can't be loaded, then one second later redirects to the target application page on the browser.

Is there a workaround for this issue?

Hi Junaid,

I have seen this personally when using the Chrome browser without ephemeral ports set.  Is that your configuration? If so, you can try setting BP to use ephemeral ports, but that has other consequences like restricting how sessions run on the machine.  Unfortunately I don't know too much about how that works because once we heard that it was no longer an option in our environment.  We opted to just increase our wait time on our launch stages to allow for the redirect within the browser.

Is there an additional negative impact that requires the site to load immediately, or are you able to just increase your subsequent wait as we did?

Hi Diane,
Thankyou for your response. We can increase wait time for some cases, but for most cases we are unable to get the workflow to work because the page simply refuses to load regardless of increased wait time.

Hi Junaid,

If the site doesn't load, is it possible that there truly is an issue with the site?  Your initial message indicated that there was just a delay, not that the page didn't load ever, and those are two very different problems.  There are a number of things outside Blue Prism that could be preventing the site from loading correctly,  Is it an internal site or an external one?  If it's an internal site, have you confirmed DNS replication is consistent across your infrastructure?  Are you experiencing both success and failure under the same user/developer ID, or does it work for some users and not others, indicating a potential security block? When the site fails, can you try manually loading it external to BP on the same machine right away to see if it also fails?  When it fails, does the browser launch, or does the browser not even load?  Are you passing any different parameters through to the site on failure versus success?  Have you confirmed that in cases of failure you are, in fact, still passing the site URL through to the browser from the object?
I ask these questions not necessarily expecting you to answer them all (but please feel free and I'll continue to help) but also to help you start thinking about all the facets of the problem in hopes that something will trigger and you'll find the issue.  You know your systems and environment better than anyone on this forum ever could, so you'll see a nuance that might be the issue well before any of us could get there.

hope this helps!
