Pass a data item with column data types to code stage for Excel

I created a code stage in our MS Excel VBO - Extended business object to import a pipe-delimited text file into Excel.  I do not know how to code, but I got it to work.  The issue is that I have hard coded the Column Data Type and I would like to be able to pass that to the VBO from the process so the code could be used for more than the one process.  The code I am using is attached.

The part circled in red is what I would like to be able to pass to the business object.  I have no idea how to do this.  Can anyone help me?
