Hi Sush,
MAPIEx v2.0.6 requires a locally installed desktop version of the MS Outlook mail client. As Outlook 365 is a cloud-based application it is not suitable for use with the MAPIEx VBO. This may very well be the cause of the email issues you're seeing since migrating to this new version of Outlook. In order to use more modern versions of Outlook, you may need to upgrade Blue Prism to v6.3 or above and implement usage of the
Outlook VBO instead of MAPIEx.
For your question about TLS 1.2, you can refer to this KB article: "
Does Blue Prism Enterprise support the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol?".
Essentially, the version of SSL/TLS used for any secure (HTTPS) connection is determined by the highest available version on both the client and server - so for example:
- If versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 are available on both the server and client - TLS 1.2 will be chosen.
- If versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 are available on the server, but only version 1.0 is available on the client - TLS 1.0 will be chosen.
We would recommend discussing this configuration with your Infrastructure team before making any changes, as these settings can impact any application or service which utilizes secure (HTTPS) connections.
