URGENT: Chrome Extension Failure with Chrome Updated Version - Requires Latest Browser Support

Dear Blueprism Support Team,

I am writing to report a critical issue with the Blueprism Chrome browser extension compatibility.

The Issue:

The Blue Prism Chrome extension is failing to work in Blueprism 7.0.1 version with Google Chrome updated version, which is the current, up-to-date version of the browser.
We have confirmed that the extension only functions correctly on the older Chrome version 94.x.

Our Requirement:

Our organisation policy requires us to use the latest, fully-patched version of Google Chrome updated for security and stability reasons.
Rolling back to an older version (v94) is not a sustainable or compliant solution.

This lack of compatibility with the current Chrome version is blocking all of our Chrome-based automation and impacting critical business processes in our production environment.

Request:

Please confirm the officially supported version of the Blue Prism browser extension and its compatibility with Chrome updated version .

Provide an immediate timeline for the release of a Blue Prism patch or updated extension that fully supports Chrome updated version.

If a temporary workaround exists that allows for continued use of Chrome updated version while maintaining security, please provide detailed instructions.

We need an urgent resolution to ensure our automation program can operate on current, secure technology.

Hi Reddy,

We can confirm BPE v7.0.1 is tested and supported for use with the latest version of Chrome (v141 as of the time of this writing with v140 excluded as it contains the UIA issue), as noted in our browser compatibility matrix documentation.

Regarding the issue you're reporting, there's not much information in your post to provide a recommendation. When you state the "extension is failing to work in BPE 7.0.1", what exactly is occurring in the problem scenario (i.e. any error message, problem behavior within a process, etc.)? What version of Chrome are you attempting to use? Have you ensured the necessary version of Browser Automation Agent required for the BP v7.0.1 browser extension is in place?

As much detail as you can provide about the problem you're facing would help others to provide their recommendations here.
