why win 32 spy mode is not working for windows application

Hi All, 

I am new to this RPA domain. I was not able to identify unique element for the windows application using win 32 spy mode. There was an error during the spying operation-display on the screen. How to solve and reason for the causes.

Windows application is not always a win32 application. Nothing else to say without application name.

Have you tried other modes of spying ? Sometimes, when one mode does not work on all elements, you might want to try other modes so mixed usage might help to succeed spying on all wanted objects.
