Hello All,

Anyone using ESR / Oracle in their automations - have you come across an issue where the automation will be working in Oracle updating a staff record with no issues and then all of a sudden it will close oracle, causing the automation to fail?

I have had this issue for the past week or so and it seems to be very hit and miss at random points in the automation so hard to pin point where the issue lies as it doesn't seem to be on a certain part of the automation.

Just to mention when in the oracle application manually this never happens as first i thought it was an issue with ESR / Oracle but seems to only happens randomly in automation runs.

When its signs out of oracle the below pages come up - causing the automation to terminate as it cant find the oracle application

Hi Frankie,

We are currently using ESR/Oracle application for Termination and change of hours for the Hr staff, 

  1. Termination is in UAT atm which running fine.
  2. Change of Hours is in development stage.

We followed best practices for automation where first we Initialise application to Open edge and Login into ESR using virtual smart card and we created another page as workflow where it will access Oracle to search for Employee record and perform required steps. After completing the process we terminate the process by closing all opened applications.
