Chrome Extension not able to Identify element- 6.9

Hi All,

For my one of the process chrome is using as a application to browse the websites.
The issue is some of the time it is able to identify the element some of the time it is not.
Have done changes on browser port settings  (31924) check and unchecked but still the same issue.
Closing chrome eachtime using Kill action in case of any exception.

BP version: 6.9
Extension version: 2.2.0

Let me know the solution if any for this.

Hi Arghya,

It is recommended to check the version of Chrome that is being used to ensure this fits with Browser extension Compatibility table:
https://bpdocs.blueprism.com/browser-compatibility.htm

It is possible that Anti-virus or endpoint security could be blocking Browser communication and is recommended to review this in full to ensure this is not the case.
This is possibly why this behavior is inconsistent.

It is recommended to review the support center for articles that relate to Chrome troubleshooting steps such as the following:
What are the key considerations when working with Modern Browser automations?

Testing is key here and I would recommend running a number of different tests and scenarios to clarify when specifically it works and when it does not to then determine next steps.

Thank you Beau Bray for the reply.

Chrome version we are using is  97.0.4692.99 (Official Build) (64-bit).
And some time it is able to identify but after completing some item it is not able to identify then need to restart the resource to work again.

From the information supplied, It would appear you may be facing one of the known issues with BP Version 6.9.

Please refer to the Known issues list linked below and particularly the Browser known issues section:

It is recommended to review and implement the workarounds here to allow for these issues not to occur.

Hi @Arghya Bhattacharyya,

Have you checked using Tracking ID which is stored as an output in the Launch Action ?

Tracking ID is one of the option which distinguishes the chrome instances in BP.
