I am working on a process that will only use background objects. The plan is to run the process multiple times on 1 resource but just thinking, will environment locks still work as it is the same resource.
mare the locks more associated with the Session than the resource?
I won't have an opportunity to test with any sort of volume or time period before it is launched so now worrying that the locks will not work as it's the same resource.
can any ease my worry on this, or am I best to just put a decision and start up parameter in so only 1 session would access the pages where the locks are

All that Environment lock has to do is with the unique Environment Lock name irrespective of what resource or session created it.
As far as you Lock in the start and Unlock by the end of your process it should not create any issue. That way you can run same process multiple times because before the end you are unlocking it.
