MS Excel VBO

A couple of years ago, we cloned the MS Excel VBO object and created an 'extended' version, as per the BP guidelines. We've since added many new actions to that extended version. In the last few BP releases, new versions of the base object have been released. What is the best way to get the latest changes from the base object into our extended version ? Is copying each changed action from the base version into the extended version the only way to do this ?

Hi Graeme, I think you have gone about it slightly different to how I usually recommend. The extended object is not supposed to be a replacement, but an extension. I usually create a new extended object that is a copy of the package object but with everything removed apart from the attach/detach kind of actions. I think create my new extended actions within that new object. That leaves me with the Blue Prism standard object unchanged and still used and my clients extended version with just additional functionality not in the standard vbo. An interface with excel might use both of these objects.

Hi Team,   When I read an excel file by using the action ""Get Worksheet as Collection Offset"" of MS Excel VBO, it threw the error ""Value cannot be null. Parameter name: s"" sometimes. If the process  What is the possible reason? Thanks!

Hello cjbj_1093, I think your new question should probably have gone in a new thread rather than appending to another question? It sounds like you have a blank or null value somewhere in your Excel data the get worksheet action does not like.  Is there header row with a blank value or blank rows somewhere?
