Hello, So I've been using the Graph API integrations from the DX ( https://digitalexchange.blueprism.com/dx/search?keyword=graph%20api&page=1 ) and some of them work exactly as expected, out of the box - such as Get Manager for example. From this you get a collection with manager details (names, email, etc.) However some items from the APIs are much more complex. For example to manipulate a spreadsheet you need to start a session, submit a JSON payload with the content, and then end the session. It would be really useful if there were actions that tied this stuff together. So for example if you passed along file location type (user, drive, site), the ID of the file location, and the file ID and then a collection with items you want to add to the table. The action could then start the session, converts the collection into an appropriate JSON package, and then closes the session in one action. Similarly with SharePoint if you wanted to get a collection of list items by field. You could pass along the site, and list ID and then the action would output a collection of the actual list items at the end. Otherwise you must build something manually to extract the collection as the output is a series of nested collections and make it difficult to use the data from the list easily. I'm sure there's many other examples that require a mix of VBOs in order to achieve something. The Graph API integration is great but I'm not sure it's appropriate for many users as it's very complex and if you expect people to use Blue Prism who are not very technical as part of centre of excellence teams I would expect it would be difficult for people to really take advantage of these actions.

It seems machines (runtime resources & workplaces) are always identified by their host names, regardless of system settings. In our case our settings were: register using short names, communicate using FQDN However, the registration considered short names and FQDN and caused issues after DNS name change that made manual DB updates necessary. The machines were verified based on their short names in BPAResource and Blue Prism crashed because of FQDN mismatch. The only reason to chose 'register using short names' is to avoid long FQDN names in Control. Therefore: 1. add settings for short/FQDN in Control that is independent on communication and registration 2. always register and evaluate FQDN and never short names only

After fetching credential values from credential manager, a developer can easily view the password by using simple calculate stage.
We are giving access to developers to utilize them for their automation process design. If a developer really want to view the password, he/she can easily view it with this loophole. BP tool should prevent casting from password-type data items to text-type data items. Thanks, Nagarjuna A

There should be a checkbox and in the App Modeller where you can hold the currently selected attributes. Example: Once you have decided the best attributes to describe elements for a given application, normally you would then just use those same attributes for a lot of elements that get modelled for that application. This would speed up Dev time when creating objects. It would also mean that Devs would spend longer finding the best attributes to define elements for a given app as they can just use the same attributes for all. Another possibility is if you can click on an element and then use a 'Format Painter' to then select all the same attributes on other elements. This could be an even better solution as then you can have a preferred set of attributes for the different spying modes.

Enhancement request to have the ability for the system to tell you if the user being disabled is an owner of a case like it does with work in the worklist. Product Management provided the following feedback as to enhancements in the works:
We have User Admin requirements in play right now and this use case has not been addressed yet.
User Admin is undergoing enhancements to support the ability to DEACTIVATE a user ... which is different than just disabling their status.
Today, disabled is both a temporary and a permanent availability status.
When you intentionally disable somebody ... it is because you want to take away permissions (security, privileges, configurations for various teams - like a case team). We check today to handle assigned work. We don't check on any memberships anywhere else. This is a good use case.

Well written use case works as an invaluable guidebook to gain learning experience. For a student, citizen developer, or a beginner in the RPA field, they are always looking for a guide or use cases that can help them in gaining RPA experience that can help them in a new job or improve there skills.
For RPA professional or CoE, they would probably like to know how different industries, departments are leveraging automation, how the BP platform is helping organizations scale.
Can we build a repository of use cases that can help anyone in the automation community ?

Hi , Decipher Data verify option which when enabled allows unattended automation capabilities and when disabled provides the business with the flexibility of making sure that they verify each document before decipher completes the processing. This is a great feature however it's ONLY available at the application level and not at DFD or ML level. This can be a deal breaker if different DFD/ML have different requirements where some may want to manually verify each document where some would want the automation to run unattended irrespective of whether the OCR accuracy was high to not. Please enhance this feature such that its available at a more granular level (DFD/ML etc).

As of Blue Prism Hub 4.6.0, having multiple users with the same email is not supported and is explicitly prevented by Blue Prism Hub with an error being thrown. There are valid circumstances under which multiple user accounts may have the same email, for example, a user having one account for non-admin access, and one for admin access. We do this today with the Blue Prism Application itself without issue, but are unable to integrate Hub, Auth server, and thus API into this approach due to this limitation preventing use of different accounts with the same email. In addition, Active Directory does not treat the mail attribute as unique or a primary identifier, so multiple users can have the same email without issue. If this is merely an arbitrary limitation the idea would be that the check is removed or configurable. If Blue Prism uses it determine uniqueness or for lookup, the idea would then be to use something else that should be truly unique, such as the username.

Currently, Chorus Document Automation is administered via a stand-alone website. I would like to see this website become a Chorus Workspace that is accessed using the same user ID/password as Chorus BPM.

As we all see while using any Exception stage we can mark "What type of Exception it is" and "What this Exception says\details" . It will be great if we also can include another field there saying "Exception Resolution Steps" --> Which are simple steps which a developer will add in order to tell what needs to be done when this exception occurs. Example - A System Exception with detail saying "Restart this application when this exception occurs" this will be great idea as it can get logged into the database\queues also . Further it can be used by control room Teams to better support a particular project or can be a helpful hand if a new developer joining the team looks at that project or object exception -->He\She exactly knows now what is needed to be done !

I would like to have ability to recognize text with different orientation. For example: I have a scan of passport (Russia). Most of the information is located horizontally, but passport's number is located vertically. I can extract all information manually: 1) Decipher extracts all horizontally information automatically 2) I make a copy, rotate it 90 degrees and merge original version with copy 3) I extract passport's number from copy manually But I would like to extract all data with Decipher automatically?

Blue prism product doesn't work with 64 bit drivers of OLEDB. We are upgrading to O365. There is an organization wide push to only use 64-bit installations. OLEDB is used to access excel and MS access database. OLEDB VBO is used as it provides efficient excel operations. Blue prism is unable to initialize connection with 64-bit OLEDB driver. This is a request to upgrade the product and provide support so that it works with 64 bit drivers. This is required to have true adoption of O365 and 64 bit. Refer below ticket for more details: Ticket: https://support.blueprism.com/helpdesk/tickets/208756

We are currently storing a lot of detail around the emails ingested by Capture in the Chorus database (AWD061/62/63) but there is no current mechanism to display this information holistically within the Chorus Portal. This means that the data are currently only available by SQL query (the GetCapturedEmail operation oh the AWD Email Service returns info from those audit tables, but only for a single email at a time). The main use case here would be an indicator of "failed" emails so that remedial action could be taken. I think the view would just need to be a filterable, pageable tabular list of ingested emails.

It would be beneficial to set a Lock release time on environment locks. As an example, you set 5 minutes, if after that time the lock hasn't been released the system will unlock it. This would help in instances where the process may freeze while performing actions and the lock then never gets released unless you manually do it in the system settings or the running resource is rebooted.

We are scheduling BOTs from 4:30 AM to 11:00 PM and team got the work from access to monitor the BOTs. We have faced some application related upgrades and adhoc pop ups due to BOT terminated. We have closed all the active windows and restart the VM to keeps BOTs back on track. I would like to suggest here if we have live snapshot of runtime machines in the control room similar to how we access through VNC or RDP. it will be very help full specifically this work from situation. It would be great to have a log of all the changes in the environment variables, the log should be able to track the values (previous and new), who changed the variables, and when they were changed. These would help tremendously in debugging problems causes when a variable is change by mistake. Additional functionality would be to add the option to restore a previous value or to alert somebody when a value in a specific variable is changed (Send email, SMS, etc).
