I believe it is advantageous to include the list of default objects within the learning edition of Blue Prism (which was the case prior to 7.3). I can't speak on behalf of everyone but we currently don't have a training environment within our Enterprise install of Blue Prism and utilise the learning edition to run training of the Blue Prism product.
Not having these included with the learning edition requires us to provide a release file to each trainee, or have them download what they need from DX directly.
Also, I note that the documentation is not correct for verifying an installation as it still points to the VBO folder, which is now empty as of 7.3.

I think it would be a great idea to have an auto complete feature in the expressions editor so if you start typing a data item or collection name it will suggest options based on the already created data items or collections within your process or object. and then if you press the tab key it will auto complete the name in the editor for you. I've attached a mock up to visualise how this could look. I feel this would save a little time but also it would make it simpler with less clicking involved.

When logging in to Hub using SSO, the login screen is displayed even though ID/Pass is not required. End users have said that it is a small thing, but if they use it frequently, unnecessary screen transitions can be stressful. Could you please consider changing the specification so that it transitions directly to the Hub/Interct selection screen instead of the login screen?

With the Releases panel being te mess it is, it does not cater for organizing the long list of packages made over the years. The possibility by higher management to not allow the deletion of old releases does not contribute to the situation. What I'd like to have is the possibility to add folders on the Release panel. These can be used to organize the packages made over the years and result in some order in the chaos that is the Releases panel today. Each department running RPA can have its own folder. Old packages can be moved to dedicated folders that management has the ability to clean-up on request. Happy coding! --------------- Paul Sweden

Hi, Current scheduling options are quite limited (static) when it comes to allocation of resources. We would like a schema to be able to allocate one resource in a pool and execute all tasks in a sequence. Adress: Overlapping schemas on the same resource. With a larger pool we could cut the overhead needed to secure robot processing. Also, a crashed/stuck robot would not affect the following schemas. (Security reasons imply usage of different robot accounts for different processes.)

The AutomateC.exe utility in the current iteration can fetch just the plain log lines from the Blue Prism logs using the /getlog switch. The following images shows the difference between what is visible in the Log Viewer for a target session vs. what is actually returned when the AutomateC.exe /getlog command is executed on the same session. As seen below , the log info returned via AutomateC.exe does not contain the information from the Parameters column that is normally visible in the Log Viewer. Purpose for this Request: We have a practical need where we have to execute a series of processes that are pre-configured in a configuration source. The number and order of the processes will vary with the type of Business process that is being currently executed via Blue Prism. In Blue Prism there is currently no way to dynamically call a Process at runtime by passing the process name as a parameter. The AutomateC.exe is the only avenue using which processes can be called by generating command lines at runtime by passing in the name of the process and their input parameters. Most importantly, if we can pass in input parameters to a process that is being executed via AutomateC.exe, it is only natural that this utility be versatile enough that it is able to return the output parameters returned by a process that has executed in a specific session. Thank you! -Andy Menon

Need for new parameter/command-line switch added to AutomateC functionality that could potentially perform the same actions as the "Verify Release" function in the client We want to veriy the package after import similar to the action which we manually perform from the BP Desktop app or client. Currently we use AutomateC CLI commands to import a package/release and then we want a similar sub flag to verify the same release as well. FYI, community support link https://community.blueprism.com/question/cli-command-to-verify-a-bluerism-packagebprelease

Date range filters don't work currently when leveraging the Blue Prism REST API v7 for GET requests. The only current workaround is to change the API server to the UTC timezone, region and format. This is not a workable solution for the vast majority of clients. Without this fix, every single transaction will be returned which can often lead to overflow issues, making the API request unusable. A working filter is imperative to retrieve appropriate data.

Currently Blue Prism can only be deployed on an MS SQL Server instances, and the recommended version is Enterprise which comes at quite a high price tag, making it expensive for smaller deployments, and/or smaller companies wanting to use Blue Prism. As the times are changing and a lot of non-enterprise companies are looking to streamline their operations and automate their processes, a high deployment cost (and maintenance) for infrastructure is often viewed as a blocker. This being said... can you please add support for PostgreSQL as well as MySQL databases for the Blue Prism DB Server?

Since the core utilities and objects no longer included when you install Blue Prism (BP), I think it would be very helpful if the DX tab in BP could display the core utilities for download and provide an option to import them directly, rather than redirecting you to the Dx platform. I'm aware that the Blue Prism team is constantly adding features and fixing bugs in the core objects. Therefore, showing the last update of the core object that the client has and providing the option to update to the latest version would be a significant improvement. I work in different environments using BP 7.1, but some core objects are from previous versions (e.g., 6.2) and have not been updated. When I requested the installation of a new Core object (such as the MS Word VBO), they complied. However, I then noticed there were approximately five different core objects with the same name. Which one was the latest? It's unclear until you examine each object individually, searching for the required action.

Note from Michael Lowe @ BP: This I not really a problem with wait stages as Blue Prism naturally iterates through the DOM repeatedly looking for the element (for the allotted period of time). However with reads, writes and navigates it will only attempt it once (throwing the classic element not found error if the element doesn’t exist). Possibly having these stages try a couple of times automatically would resolve this issue, but that’s not the way the product works right now. I will raise it as a product suggestion which will get considered for a future development. This was in response to our continued problems with Invocation errors on Edge/V6.9

There are a lot of companies relying on the digital worker to get data from invoices, other PDF documents and there are no in built actions available for pdf automation, which are present in other RPA softwares which they are taking advantage, i would be really helpful if a set of actions are added to Blue prism which deals with the PDF automation.

Although the code stage offers great ability to extend Blue Prism, the development experience is not good. It would great to have some level of formal integration with Visual Studio, or other applicable IDEs, for a better development flow. Clicking on the the code tab in BP would launch Visual Studio and saving would bring code and libraries into BP. Ability to fully test code in the IDE, even while debugging a VBO. stepping into a code stage would launch VS into active debug mode and then back out. More transparency and visibility into missing libraries, global code issues, code validation errors would be great.

Blue Prism has frequent releases with very little gap between releases. To add to this agony the releases are not backward compatible. BP 6.7 client cannot talk with a BP 6.8 App/DB Server, it is also vice versa - BP 6.8 client cannot talk with a BP 6.7 App/DB Server. While we can understand a compatibility issue between BP 5 and BP 6, compatibility issues within a major release (BP 6.6,6.7 with 6.8) exposes poor product architecture/design. Request to consider the following: 1. Have a fixed release pattern - twice a year with 6 months gap in between gives ample time for clients to plan/prepare 2. Redesign the product so that there is backward compatibility. Without these two, clients will not be able to keep themselves abreast with the product innovations eventually leading to moving off to other RPA tools. Uploading BP 6 Release dates for reference of frequency.

We are able to make use of the SOAP Web Services wizard to consume web services which use Soap 1.1 , however the wizard fails for web services which use Soap 1.2 since BluePrism does not support Soap 1.2 entirely. Would request BluePrism to add SOAP 1.2 capability natively in the SOAP Web Services wizard in a future release.

There is a security risk because there is a way to view passwords, depending on how the current credentials are obtained. We have this security risk in robot creation. Based on this, I would like to propose the following measures. 1.If the data item containing the authentication information is not of the password type, the acquisition of the authentication information results in an error. 2.Prevents casting from password-type data items to text-type data items.

Hi Team, I think we should be having the community version of the product as it will increase the interest of the new developers/students and also good to test the latest/existing features before directly moving for Upgrade. This feature is provided by most of the RPA tools and Blue Prism should also think about it.

Hi, as we have multiple instances of Blue Prism in our enterprise with various license keys, i would be good to have a single license server to manage those keys easier and get a better utilization of the existing bots.
