When a process or business object's name is changed all references to that process or business object are lost. This great affect reusability and results in artifacts with improper names to retain references. Proposed Solution: Artifacts have a NAME (static for DB), LABEL (shown in GUI for ease), and DESCRIPTION. This will allow artifacts to have their LABEL updated easily without breaking any references to that artifact.

Right now the version history of an object / process only shows us the date and time of a saved change including a small portion of the text provided on saving. There is no column for storing a process-/ object-version. I think it is nessecary - especially if you have multiple Blue Prism environments - that you can store a version info for processes/objects. This info should be shown in the version history and transfered to other environments by importing releases and XML-files. Let's say you have an Environment for developing, one for testing and one for production. You could end up with three different versions in those environments at a given time. The date and time of the change is not enough to my opinion, because - this info is lost when importing a release - you could roll back to an older version by exporting and importing. This old version would then be on the top of the list with a new timestamp. What do you think about the possibility to set a version inside the process-/object-Studio?

I Would love BP to provide an additional tool to manage the CICD. I tried/propose to build a web/windows app based solution for it which has/should have the below features: 1- One time configuration for all environments (Dev,SIT,UAT,Prod). 2- A login option in line with the user's access to BP (planned) 3- As soon as you login, it shows you dropdown /list view of all the processes present in different environments. 4- Once you select any process in any environment: it gives you 2 options : a) Elevate to next Environment (Dev-->SIT, SIT-->UAT, UAT-->PROD). Once you click, all the dependencies are automatically moved/created in the next environment. b) Demote/Degrade to previous Environment/Disable Process 5- It also should provide an option to create/manage the credentials from this app There can be endless possibilities around this one stop CICD model as the admin team doesn't have to login to BP to move the processes and dependencies across environments Thoughts for discussion open.

Beyond comparing versions a process or objects in one environment, it would be great to do comparisons between different environments. Not only just to see what may need to be migrated, but also to see what changed (in the app modeler as well). Appian announced this functionality this year in their platform.

Need to enable a option to merge the process code. Problem Statement: Multiple resource working on different module of same process. At end of the day need to merge the all code into core version. Currently, there is no option to merge code created by resources. Solution : Merge the process code and identify the difference between version and show if it is any conflict between the same module. Then developer has to sit and resolve the conflict the merge the code as single process

It would be great to enhance the existing capability to review references to a process or an object in the following way: to enable it both ways, meaning that you are not limited to view processes and/or objects that call the selected item, but also vice versa to view all processes and/or objects that the selected item calls itself (particularly useful to review upon release build if all required items are included) to have a full visual mapping of all references and dependencies, not just a simple list

During a recent Next Gen workshop exercise, prospective Next Gen customers indicated that they would like to see Processes displayed in descending order (versus ascending order) when displayed in Control Center. Note: developers stated that they might have multiple versions of a Process being displayed and they indicated that they did not want to have to scroll down to see their most recent version of changes.
