We now have 150+ virtual machines in our resource pool. Occasionally I need to run the same process on a group of resources. At the moment I have to drag and drop each process individually to each machine. I already have my control room grouped into folders by work type. I would like to be able to drop a process on that folder, and for BP to issue that process to all resources inside that folder.

Hi, when a user in Interact fills the form and clicks on submit button it would be good for certain cases not to go to Submission folder and Inbox to see what was the robot response if any. The way this could be designed that on the form level when we design it we could say whether the response should go to Inbox or straight away to be displayed to the user. This would save several clicks in a user interaction. Of course, this would be for specific case that's why it should be part of design of the form. Thanks.

Sometimes we need to measure the performance of a process over a period of time, and there are many elements that can be measured in this like process execution time at different times, the total number of errors(both application and business), bot machine configuration, bot success vs failure percentage, and any SLA breaches between a time range. This information can be converted into a well-formatted dashboard(we can use excel to create the dashboard) and passed to the concerned person to take action(if any) This automation would need one input argument ‘process name’. For that process name, the information can be retrieved from the backend via control room APIs. Once the data is retrieved, it can be passed to the pre-formatted excel file(you need to create an excel file template beforehand, where you just need to overwrite your output) to generate the output. After that, the file can be saved to drive or can be sent to the concerned person via email. This automation is generic in nature and can be used in any business process.

I understand that the process and object studio have numerous things to differentiate but what would be more usable is to have some different colors applied to Process and Object studio so anyone can understand in a glimpse that it is process studio and that was Object studio. I understand that most of the time it would be developers who would go to the studio to work on the code but many times we need to show the code to management/Non - technical folks it would be very nice to have there.

The application modeller accepts that different elements in the application modeller of a given BO have the same name. For maintainability purposes, this should be forbidden.

Request to have CSS and XPath support added to all browser spying mode, so that element identification (or highlighting) can be achieved using any complex CSS or XPath selector. CSS is widely used in web development and is often the way how modern websites use to implement many UI features via JavaScript. Often a web element can be identified uniquely by the use of a single expression without the use of any other attributes. It can be a much faster way in narrowing down to an element on a very large web page with thousands of elements. It may also bring benefits to pages that are dynamic in nature, e.g. an element may not always appear in the same PATH hierarchy. I am aware that a user may specify XPath expressions against "Web Path" attribute when using Google Chrome and Firefox plugins. XPath however is not being supported by the IE mode.

Blue Prism does not specify a port on the request to the Active Directory server, so it utilizes the default port for the LDAP protocol (389). A recent security finding has identified that applications connecting to Windows Active Directory LDAP over a non-secure port 389 are vulnerable to attacks. To mitigate and completely resolve the security finding prior to the mandatory Microsoft Security Patch due in March 2020. In E1/E2/E3 the requests to lDAP on port 389 will be nullified after Patch in March. Application teams will need to modify their connections to a secure LDAP using port 636 This is time-sensitive matter and would like to expedite a resolution, Please support this idea. Thanks, Nagarjuna Atukuri

I think a Blue Prism license for academic/training purposes is a necessary evolution in Blue Prism's future. Currently, partners get an internal use license (5 sessions) that can be used by any of the partner's employees and that license is not intended for production use even though I am not aware of any actual limitation by the license file other than concurrent sessions. I'm suggesting a similar license but one with feature limitations instead of concurrent session limitations. For example, the license itself could contain instructions for which parts of Blue Prism should be available once the license is installed in a BP environment. Scheduler could be disabled or there could be a limit to how many users can be added to the BP environment. I assume this might take an update to Blue Prism itself along with an update to the licenses, but I think it's worth it. I have more to share as always, but I'm trying to limit the words here. 😃

If I've understood correctly, data items and collections don't have properties such as length or number of rows. OK, BP isn't a fancy object oriented language offering full scale of tools, but... I'd like to propose that at least collections should have "Row number" as a property and strings "Length", for example. Those would be handy to use in calculations or decision without first creating an action counting the number of rows. Did some GUI mockuping as well 🙂

Would be nice if the first mode that opens would be the last one you used. If you're spying 20 SAP fields with SAP mode, currently you have to type through to "SAP mode" 20 times

I would like to have a menu setting that can be used to disable/enable the 'Don't log parameters on this stage' option for the selected stages/all stages - similar to the options for the log levels.

The ability to see the dependency relationships for nested references in the Advanced Find search window. This search feature was available in earlier versions of Blue Prism, but has been removed in recent versions. The ability to search by nested references greatly decreases time spent trouble shooting for a Blue Prism Developer to find the actions that relate to a specific data item. The removal of this search feature means the developer is opening each action one by one to confirm what the input and output data items. The ability to search by explicit reference and nested reference provides more transparency to the developer. Examples are attached.

In Interact 4.2 there is not possible to define Form Rules which are dependent on fields which are defined on various pages. Only fields on a particular page can be used for Form Rules definition. This is quite limiting if we want to split long forms into multiple pages and define fields on page 2 (or 3 or 5) based on fields which values are entered on page 1.

The existing design control covers quite a lot in terms of usable syntax and logic errors but it is limited with best practice checking. There should be a base set of configurable best practice controls set up based on peer review documents. Example controls: Overcomplicated pages - Check for X number of stages. Stages that could be sub-pages - Check for duplicate named sequences of stages. Possible infinite loops - Check to ensure a decision stage exists between a set of links that go backwards. Attach stages at the beginning of actions - Check for an attach after a Start stage These are just some possible controls. Rules should be developed based on the existing peer review checklists on the portal. Organisations should have some flexibility in modifying the controls and increasing/decreasing thresholds based on their own needs.

Web API and Skills are offering an easy and fast way to use external Webservices. Unfortunately this is not possible if you need a proxy authentication and therefore you'll get message like Internal : Unexpected error Error during Web API HTTP Request HTTP Status Code: 407 HTTP Response Content: <HTML><HEAD> <TITLE>Access Denied</TITLE> There is a workaround of using HTTP and REST VBOs instead of Web API, which will allow to set Proxy for a request, but this means that you can't use Web API and Skills here. This will a mean lot of more efforts in implementation of many use cases. So in our opinion it would be a very good feature to have such an option also für Web API and within Skills.

When we rename the data item there is no option to update renamed data item name in all stages. Developer need to manually update all stages. BP should provide option to update all stages. Let me know if you need any other info.

Hi, currently there is the only option for warning when robot gets stuck at an action for longer time than is certain number of minutes - it is displayed in Control Room. It would be very useful to have more options here. I can think of: sending an email or sms Restarting the process Terminating the current process It would be particularly useful when running overnight processes so that in the morning the robot is not blocked by hanging process.

When retiring a schedule, control room users sometimes accidentally click the delete button as the delete button is right below the retire button. It would be beneficial to add a warning when deleting schedules to prevent accidental deletion. It would be even more beneficial to separate the delete button from the retire button as well. If at all possible a recover function would be beneficial as well. If the schedule is deleted it will take resources, time and research to create the schedule again. If at all possible, the bare minimum would be to move the button further away from the retire button or simply add a warning.
