When developing a process, one tries to put in the effort to structure it well so even another developer can understand what is going on in there. The same goes for our Process Controllers that run the processes in production. When running the process, they have a schedule that presents them with the Startup Parameters and their descriptions and the default values that can be adjusted. Or so I thought! Last few days we've been entangled in what a certain parameter name 'Email' was used for. Is is used for sending to, or is it used form sending from? I merely pointed to the descriptive text as defined in the process Startup Parameters, being 'certain' the descriptive text would pop up in the scheduler panel. As it appears, the names of the Startup Parameters are shown in the Scheduler, but the description of each parameter is not shown. Why this is is beyond me, but I do know that this definitely should be added in some form, manner, or shape. Why else would I make the effort to add a proper description to each parameter? To be honest, I was puzzled by this shortcoming. I've been working with BP since 2017 and never before needed to visit the scheduler panel details in production. Why wouldn't the description for each parameter, that BP makes us fill out, and where many of us hopefully take the time to give it a suitable value, be shown on that panel? [SadEmojiWithQuestionMark] As I see it, we have three options: The descriptive text is added to the scheduler panel The descriptive text is displayed as a 'hover' text on the scheduler panel We don't do a thing and hope for the best My vote is on either option 1 or 2 and would translate to a thumbs up. There are a few things that need to be improved in the studio just for development easiness. 1:- Studio look and feel must be improved. 2:- While connecting two stages in Blue prism there should be an option just to click so that they will connect by an arrow or by a mouse hover we can get that arrow. Like we used to get the option in VISIO or draw.io 3:- The developer should be able to resize all the stages by selecting on time. For example, all the stages must follow 4 squares or 6 squares then the Developer or user should be able to for one page at once. I should be of great help if we could start a process asynchronously from another process. I have a usecase in which I have to start a long blueprism process from another system. If I expose this process as a WebService, Blueprism will wait the process complete before responding to the other system. If the process takes a lot of minutes to complete, this will cause a timeout error to the other system. The problem could be solved if we could call another process that could start the log process and complete without waiting the subprocess to complete. When looking at the contents of aWork queue in Control room, you can do quite ok filtering on most columns. But not on the first column showing the item state, i.e. Pending/Locked/Completed/Exception.  Here, I am at most time wanting to show all non finished, the union of Locked and Pending at the same time. At other times, I want to investigate on all finished items, the union of Completed and Exception. Hi Team, My idea is for adding the anchor element functionality for elements which are currently being spied using other spying modes rather than region mode. While spying many web sites, some times the attributes that we get can't be unique enough to get a particular match. In situation like this, if there were a way to get the nearest element to it being spied and use that element as a reference to identify the element would help the identification of any target element. Using 7.0.0 - Unlock All Processes currently loses all unsaved code changes for all other developers.  Providing a Warning message would greatly reduce the chances of lost code changes.  Restricting the Unlock All Processes functionality to Administrators would also be an effective solution to this problem. ... Dynamic Forms - Unable to invoke a presentation flow on click of a custom button on dynamic form I think this is more of a backlog item than an issue. We're trying to figure out if there's a way to invoke a different presentation flow on click of a custom button on dynamic form. Business Scenario: For example, we're trying to setup Pension for a customer and we do have different presentation flows which take care of each of the details capturing i.e., first presentation flow to capture Personal info, second presentation flow to capture Risk Details, third to capture Quote details and so on. Towards the end, we would like to show a summary of what all have been captured in the previous presentation flows (dynamic forms) and provide an Edit button at each section for the CSR to be able to go back to the relevant presentation flow for these specific section to be edited. It would be helpful to be able to create and apply templates for user security role definitions in System tab. Additionally to be able to export and import those templates to move from one environment to another. Currently it is possible to enable logs for all stages only via Edit Menu Menu : Edit > All Stages > Enable logging. Idea/Suggestion. It would be helpful (time saving) , when its possible to do the same for a porcess, via command prompt using AutomateC.exe. like ... When editing a process or object while switching workplaces between my laptop-screen and an extra screen, the stages in the process or object are either too small to read or occupy too much real-estate. Obviously, this is easily solved by zooming in or out depending on where I go. Unfortunately, I have to repeat this zoom in/out for every page I use after having switched workplaces. When viewing a locked process or object, nearly every function is unavailable.  Zoom cannot be manipulated, text search cannot be used.  Opening action stages does not show given inputs and outputs in the lower pane. Find dependencies is not accessible.  It also hinders mentoring- the developer has an issue and comes to you for help, you can't open the code and look at it coherently because some of the data you need is missing.  This makes joint troubleshooting very difficult, if not impossible.    Request that only modification type actions be prevented when in a view only version of the process/object. Perhaps just remove the "ok" button from opened windows and disable save functionality, but allow everything else (including save as) to be accessible. ... View more

We would like to have the 'Retired' functionality extended to Work Queues and/or Queue Management. When processes are retired, work queues associated to them still appear in Queue Management and the Control Room.  This provides a less than ideal user experience as users now have to manage queues that are no longer in use as well as active queues.  This also poses an additional problem as RPA scales - the Queue Management and/or Control Room will continue to look busier without the ability to retire queues. ... Noticed a major difference regarding saving in BluePrism 6.9 Suddenly after saving, all my active data is removed, basically performing a full process reset, which never happened before. That is in my opinion a very bad idea as I myself like to save after every confirmed functional change, thus forcing me to either not save or to redo the actions if I am debugging something or developing actively. Hi, when you design a form with many fields and the fields are depending on various conditions (based on the user choosing the value from combo box for example) we have to define hidden, mandatory condition for each field. If you have many fields it is becoming a nightmare as the number of conditions is growing significantly. Would it be possible to create a virtual element or group to which I assign the fields and then I build the condition on that virtual element or group.
