Currently the only way to access Doc Splitter is to use the Action Menu option. As it is often part of the flow within a process, it would be ideal to have the same feature available as a button on the form of a work item

Similar idea is already raised, but I'd like to simplify it. Basically this: Allow to set time window, when schedule execution is paused. E.g. "No schedules started every Monday 02:00AM ~ 05:00AM" This would allow to easier plan server/database/runtime resources maintenance, prepare for updates and etc. This could be a setting in BPServer.exe.config, BPServer GUI, or any other convenient place. Quite often I need to copy something from the BP UI to use in an errand, a document, an email, ... The things I need to copy on a regular basis are:
Process name
Environment variable values
...
The easy way would be to mark the text to be copied in the UI, do a right-click and chose Copy (or a Ctrl+C). Unfortunately, the UI does not allow these, and other, texts to be marked and subsequently copied. This leaves only the 'visual copy and manual paste' option open. Note that I can copy at least the values of Environment variables in the Development environment, but the Production environment in View mode does not allow for this. The contents of most Environment variables do not really lend themselves for a manual copy and paste, as it is quite easy to make mistakes in things like long values for file-paths. Long ago I got fed up with the UI's inability to copy the process names, so I put these in an XL for more easy reuse. Now for my proposal: Could you make more elements in the BP UI available for marking and copying? Happy coding! --------------- Paul Sweden

Moving processes/objects from one group to another (given that we have hundreds of processes/objects), is the most painful process ! he original method, way back in v4?, where you moved them under Process/Object Management option on the System Menu, although not perfect, was much easier. It could really do with a bulk option too.

Currently using BP v6.9 in a multi-language environment in which Windows display language is either English or German. Blue Prism client is always in English (to achieve this we had to delete the localization folder). Our session logs are always in English (except for OS messages those are of course passed through by BP). Our audit logs have mixed languages. eg login/logout are always in English. Changes to schedules are based on Windows language settings, so either in English or German. Date and number formats in logs differ depending on local regional settings in Windows and BP client / resource. This affects all types of analysis, querying of log data. Language in logs should be consistent in all types of logs and for all types of events. This could be achieved by either always be in English (except OS messages) or according to server language setting. Even better would be a own BP system language & region settings that are applied to all logs. This way the text and formats may differ to local BP client settings but at least they would be consistent. (And our colleagues don't need Google translate for messages generated by BP client running on German Windows 😉 )

On the tool's INPUT: Human Worker Profile section it would be good if there was another of capturing the process costs. For example, for some of the processes we are automating we are charged per transaction as opposed to FTE based which is the only option on the tool. It would also be good if you could export the process assessment results to Excel. We can extract some information but cannot see the further detail we have inputted in to the assessment (no of screens, no of paths etc) without clicking the edit icon to view the whole assessment again. Thanks James

I would like to have some transparency for the decisions which Decipher uses to recognize specific field values. Currently there are situations where either Decipher selects values that make no sense, or where Decipher does not select some values after countless training documents. I would suggest to add some sort of easily readable log files, which would tell the user why some specific value was selected or why some field was not filled-in. The log entries could be for example something like: "Field 'Invoice number' was recognized based on a header value".
"Field 'Total amount' was not filled-in due to the excluded header -values." "Field 'xxx' was recognized based on the relative field location". "Field 'yyy' was recognized by the existing Machine Learning models."

Taking advantage of the pole of our colleague I believe that the blue prism could have new active functions such as GetObjectName() to capture the object name and GetActionName() to capture the name of the action, thinking of a way to create expressions that altomatize what our colleague expressed in this publication or even that even captures the resolution of the screen for validations in the process and is not necessary to use exernos artifacts to capture. Some small enhancements would make Bluerism more user friendly. Right now when a session is in progress, unless you yourself developed the process, there is no way for someone to know if Safe stop is implemented in the flow. If it is not implemented , and you select Request stop , the session would just continue showing Stopping. I suggest having a small visual indicator to indicate if a process has it implemented in place

Currently it is possible to import an existing object into a different folder by using the overwrite option. This should not be possible if the user does not have modify rights on the existing object. Scenario: An object is located and read-only folder. A user with import rights can import this object into another folder (eg there is a release file with different structure, single object import targeting into default folder). When he chooses the overwrite option during import, the existing object content is replaced but it seems to be still in the original (restricted) folder. The user can now change his object in his folder (bypassing original folder restrictions). Since the overwrite option created another reference to the original object, all changes will be applied to both objects in both folders. These changes also include delete that removes both objects (even in restricted folder)

In BluePrism I feel a need of button which can take screen focus to current active stage (Yellow Color). I particularly feel need of this button on large project which uses large canvas size, so while I am testing it step by step and move to other area(to check value of data item) I can go back to current active stage once I click that button.

I realize that if a Web API Services call results in a HTTP status code 500 (5xx even, probably) it throws an exception. I would like to actually receive the data from the request no matter if it's a 500 or whatever status code is returned. Sometimes you actually want to process and respond to the codes yourself. Sometimes even code 500 can be programmed to return something to parse. Best way to provide backwards combability would be to add an option to a web service call to not throw an exception, if this option is turned on as default, nothing will break at an upgrade.

It would be helpful to assign user defined (logical) names and description to runtime resources that would make organization in Control easier. Also search function in Control structure view (objects + resources) would be nice. The name of runtime resources as shown in Control is based on technical hostnames. Those names may or may not be somehow meaningful, but often the name is not related to Blue Prism at all (eg w03dcp12vm302). Sometimes the hostname is also different than users can see when directly accessing the runtime resource (eg name in Citrix: RPA 003). Structures in Resource Management may be based on team structures, customers, organizational units, ... Changing the structure may move resources to another location and confuses users (and myself). It would be helpful to assign logical names and maybe also further details to a resource. eg: Team1 OU 123 \ w03dcp12vm302 (Reporting VDI) [Citrix name: RPA 003, used for issue report creation and distribution] <Structure> \ <hostname> (<logical name>) [<description>] Background: we are serving 20 different departments with 15 resources. Over time resources are assigned to different departments and even within one department the purpose changes. Users contact us referring to names shown in Citrix

Hi Blue prism Team, if you can validate idea not only based on the vote but sometimes it should be validated by your team. In that way only a product can be improved more and you can understand the need of the developer or user. I can see lot of good ideas but sometimes vote is less because all the users are not using community even they use they don't use the idea forum to validate an idea. Even you will see this idea when it will reach 16 or more votes 🙂

Parent ticket - AWD-42901
Description- Change the level of the 'error' level log message that appears in the logs whenever a document is deleted successfully so that it is only visible for traces. This has the potential to fill up log files if mass deletions occur. Client needs to delete images regularly/on-mass thus this issue will bloat the log files significantly if not addressed.
Steps to Recreate- Delete any source, review log files
Component - AWD|File Transfer (AFT) Affects Version - AFT 6.0 Client - AXA HK The details of the ‘change the level of the error level log’ is misleading, the issue/requirement is actually as per my comments:
Error - The message “WARNING: unable to delete, return code = 1” gets written whether a source is deleted or not.
Description - This error is logged every time there is an AFT delete during datapurge,
This reports a failure and a return code of 1 however the file is deleted, so the Warning is misleading.
(If the file is not deleted this same error is also produced)
This is a GDPR regulatory concern as it means the success of deletion of the file is unconfirmed.

In the system settings of the Blue Prism interactive client there is an option "start a personal Runtime Resource on this machine when users log in to Blue Prism" It would be great if we could just right click on a process in control tab and would have an option like "Run on current Resource". Right now, if a user wants to start a process on his personal Resource he has to lookup his machine in the Resources section. This can be really time consuming.
