If I've understood correctly, data items and collections don't have properties such as length or number of rows. OK, BP isn't a fancy object oriented language offering full scale of tools, but... I'd like to propose that at least collections should have "Row number" as a property and strings "Length", for example. We are working on automating a few use cases through Decipher. For some of them, we don't require any manual intervention and therefore we need the Batch to bypass Data verification tab, whereas for others we need the manual intervention to be performed by the business users, and therefore the data verification tab needs to be turned on. However with the way the current configuration settings work, once we turn on the automatically skip data verify tab, the setting becomes applicable for all the batches. Blue Prism does not specify a port on the request to the Active Directory server, so it utilizes the default port for the LDAP protocol (389). A recent security finding has identified that applications connecting to Windows Active Directory LDAP over a non-secure port 389 are vulnerable to attacks. To mitigate and completely resolve the security finding  prior to the  mandatory Microsoft Security  Patch  due  in March 2020. In E1/E2/E3 the requests to lDAP on port 389 will be nullified after Patch in March. When retiring a schedule, control room users sometimes accidentally click the delete button as the delete button is right below the retire button. It would be beneficial to add a warning when deleting schedules to prevent accidental deletion. It would be even more beneficial to separate the delete button from the retire button as well. If at all possible a recover function would be beneficial as well. If the schedule is deleted it will take resources, time and research to create the schedule again. If at all possible, the bare minimum would be to move the button further away from the retire button or simply add a warning. ... View more

The idea is to have a list of weekdays (Mon-Sun) to select from when specifying the time plan for a Schedule. This way it is easy to let a Schedule run eg every Mon, Wed of a week.  This is an enhanced version of the current 'weekly' time plan, where only one day can be selected.  Currently (BP v6.9 for us) there are two options to achieve several runs on different weekdays:  - create weekly schedule and duplicate for each weekday - create a new calendar and select the wanted weekdays only Both ways are not very intuitive and more difficult to maintain ... When you are running several resources I find that I would want to add a comment in resource management that can show up in control room. Great way to comment on which resources are installed with which software, for example. Grouping can provide some of this, but sometimes you would need further information on which resource is meant to do what. The font readability is currently bad in some of the Process/Object Studio UI elements, for example due to kerning issues. The changed zoom functionality in 6.8 has also made it more difficult to develop. Now that the font scales with zoom, everything below 75% zoom makes the elements unreadable, so development has to be done with 100% zoom, which makes it harder to get an overview of the process. Allowing for better customization of the fonts on user/system level and disabling font scaling below 100 % zoom would enable smoother development. ... View more

Web services provided by other systems can be integrated as actions to Blue Prism. This integration provides status code and return values... but only when the request was successful. In case the request fails no information is available but exception details only. Information such as status code has to be parsed manually from the exception details text. The idea is to not raise a critical exception when the request fails but utilize the existing action return values (status code, message, ...) to pass through the information coming from the web service. Schedules can be arranged by structured names. The order of Tasks is defined by when they have been created that makes organizing Schedules unnecessary difficult over time. eg: Schedule: (numbers show the logical order) - Login (1.) - Process (2.) - Logout (3.) Now when adding a second process to be executed after the existing one it would look like: Schedule: - Login (1.) - Process (2.) - Logout (4.) - Process2 (3.) A Quality of Life suggestion. Take, for example, the humble 'Item Data' collection, after getting an item from the queue. There could be any number of fields in this collection that will be referred to constantly throughout the rest of the process. Each time you need to refer to one of them, you have to type [Item Data.Field Name], being very careful with your typing. I observed that the Click Action in Navigate stage doesn't works after spying any element(Like Button) in Browser mode in Blue Prism V6.9.0. The Spying works perfectly all the time, Even the verify action in Navigate stage also highlights the element perfectly at Run time but when executing the click action, it seems like clicking at the top left corner of the screen in that particular application.
