It would be useful to have the ability to select existing packages as part of creating a new one. This would allow you to package up pre-existing assets / components to incorporate within your future releases.

When we went through the initial process of being sold Blue Prism we were told that we could slow down our processes so that our customers didn't necessarily need to know that we were using RPA to work their websites. It was only once we went through the initial training that we were told the only way to do this was to build in wait stages throughout our process. Could we not have a speed slider against the process, like we do in debug mode? For external processes we can then slow it down, but without having to factor in wait stages.

Would it be nice to have a bar of some sorts, when debugging (pressing play) that a tool bar is made available in order to pause during the debugging. Especially in Surface Automation, when each time i'm trying to pause, the process brings the the target application forward and you struggle to pause. I even end up closing the entire BP, just so that the process can stop.

Context: Mechanism to store encryption key (DB and App server File System) and protecting it from system administrator against misuse. Use case: 1 Currently, encryption key and encrypted data both are stored in db, By virtual of Blue Prism design, encryption key can be stored in database or File System (FS) on App Server. No other option is available. 1. DBA access: We can move encryption key to App server and restrict dba access to app server. 2. Wintel / Blue Prism administrator access: They would have access to App server FS, wherein they also have access to Blue prism database (limited access though) for maintenance activity. This is causing issue. Requirement:The requirement is to store encryption key in any other tool (like IBM PIM - Product Information Management), where administrator should not have access to. Use case 2: When user navigates to encryption key using Blue Prism user interface, the log is also not recorded. Requirement: I believe this is essential for any audit compliance.

Right now, licenses are added up and shareable for every Runtime Resource, but it would be nice to be able to control of assignment of license to specific Runtime Resources via schedules because sometimes schedules conflict with each other and it would be better to make sure the assignment of licenses to some schedule.

In the system settings of the Blue Prism interactive client there is an option "start a personal Runtime Resource on this machine when users log in to Blue Prism" It would be great if we could just right click on a process in control tab and would have an option like "Run on current Resource". Right now, if a user wants to start a process on his personal Resource he has to lookup his machine in the Resources section. This can be really time consuming.

Right now, only Session Logs/Published Dashboards/Custom Object Data can be sent to the output by Data Gateways. It would be great if Windows Event Logs of Runtime Resources could be sent to the output because we can obtain and analyze the event logs at nearly real time by, say, Splunk. When the Runtime Resources are Physical Desktops, it would be great helpful.

Ability to put some icons or colors to the procesess or VBOs. Yes we have the ability to put processes or VBOS to the groups, but put there some colors or icons can help even further to see the statuses of the process/VBOs, or help to distinquisch some additional connenction among the Process/VBOs base on colors/icons. Same could apply to the Groups

It would be helpful to be able to create and apply templates for user security role definitions in System tab. Additionally to be able to export and import those templates to move from one environment to another. Being able to export security roles in structure format will allow to run security audits on granted permissions (eg discrepancies between template and individual settings). This will support us in our multi team environment with 4 roles x 9 teams (and growing).

I would like to be able to see the number of successful cases worked and the number of exceptions raised against each session in the control room. This would make it easier to monitor from an Admin point of view - rather than having to check each queue for new additions, or have emails on completion telling me how many of each has been done, I can just look in the control room, see it's completed and the summary of cases worked.

Our users like the calendar view of the Scheduler\Timetables window but it shows all schedules for all resources making it impossible to actually see what is relevant for users who are interested on their own processes. I would expect the possibility to set custom filters (on resource, schedule / process, ...). Further, future enhancements would be to automatically filter the information based on the rights of the user.

I understand that the process and object studio have numerous things to differentiate but what would be more usable is to have some different colors applied to Process and Object studio so anyone can understand in a glimpse that it is process studio and that was Object studio. I understand that most of the time it would be developers who would go to the studio to work on the code but many times we need to show the code to management/Non - technical folks it would be very nice to have there.

The BP DB contains a lot of information that could useful for admin/BAU/audit/upgrade yet much of it cannot be extracted into a report. It would be nice to have a suite of reports made available. For example:
Asset inventory
All objects, pages, input/outputs, descriptions
Top-down dependencies, ie what objects, queues etc each process uses
Bottom-up dependencies, eg what is using each object, queues etc
Credentials - expiry date, last used date, access rights etc
Queue volumes
Asset 'last used date' (eg what is obsolete)
Activity reports
Session history including termination reasons
Change log per process/object/whatever
Activity log per resource (which machines are used most and least)
User reports
Users, roles, permissions etc
Activity per user
Current user activity (who's logged in now, who's got control room open etc)
System reports
All BP client system settings (for comparing environments)
Perhaps users could call stored procedures via Data Gateways instead of having to query tables directly.

White building a test suite that will be used for validation and for regression testing , it will be useful after running this test suite to have a kind of code coverage (or Process stages coverage) informations. This code coverage can provide us with statistics like: · % of items in the process we didn’t path through. (it will be a good coverage indicator) · A list of these Items so we can enrich our test and enhance our test coverage. · Number of times we passed in the same path or sequence, so we can optimize our test suite by reducing test without compromising quality. · Object and objects ’actions called during these tests. · Credentials not used, Queues not used, … · …. This code coverage will also help identifying in production what objects are no more used and which paths in the processes we never go through in production.

If we get the name of the exe or process when we spy the element it will be useful for developers. For Example, if i am working on SAP application and i have to save as a document into PDF, here save as dialogue should be attached with different business object, it is tough to find what is the process name of the save as dialogue. So if we have a attribute or information while spying that what is the process name blueprism is trying to spy it will be very useful for the developers.

Although the code stage offers great ability to extend Blue Prism, the development experience is not good. It would great to have some level of formal integration with Visual Studio, or other applicable IDEs, for a better development flow. Clicking on the the code tab in BP would launch Visual Studio and saving would bring code and libraries into BP. Ability to fully test code in the IDE, even while debugging a VBO. stepping into a code stage would launch VS into active debug mode and then back out. More transparency and visibility into missing libraries, global code issues, code validation errors would be great.

On the tool's INPUT: Human Worker Profile section it would be good if there was another of capturing the process costs. For example, for some of the processes we are automating we are charged per transaction as opposed to FTE based which is the only option on the tool. It would also be good if you could export the process assessment results to Excel. We can extract some information but cannot see the further detail we have inputted in to the assessment (no of screens, no of paths etc) without clicking the edit icon to view the whole assessment again. Thanks James

If I create a schedule in Blue Prism, it shows as the name of the schedule with the scheduled processes underneath. When I click on a process, it allows me to set the next process that will run on that schedule after the currently selected process finishes. The trouble is that the processes can be arranged in any order under the name of the schedule, even if that order isn't representative of their running order. For instance, if I have a schedule called Count, and under that schedule are processes 1, 2, and 3 in numerical order. At first glance, you'd think that they'd run in that order. However, if you click on each individual process, 3 could run first, and then 1, then 2, all based on the contents of the On Complete combo box. I'd like to see the processes reorder themselves under the schedule name based on the On Complete contents. One step further would be to allow drag and drop functionality of the processes in a particular schedule to change their order, and have the On Complete contents automatically change based on that position. I think that if the drag and drop functionality were added, and that the order of the processes under the schedule name was the actual running order of the processes, the On Complete contents wouldn't even be needed, potentially freeing some real estate for something else. I would assume this would eliminate the need for the Initial Task combo box that is displayed on the screen that appears when you select the schedule's name. ------------------------------ Tracy Lovett RPA Developer I Synovus Columbus, Georgia, USA ------------------------------

Rather than have a process on a schedule set to periodically check a queue for data to work, add an optional work queue setting to automatically kick off a process on a designated resource/pool once there are items to be worked. This would remove the need for 24/7 monitoring processes which may quickly fill the various log tables, while lowering the traffic throughput to the controller/database. Work queues can be populated by new and/or existing feeder processes.
