Hello, Currently in Blue Prism we have variables that are modifiable from the session level and are called 'Session Variables'. However, each session may yield some technical parameters - either standard ones (let's say - duration / queue items obtained) or the ones we can invent on our own - e.g., estimated remaining time. Such variables I would call 'Session Indicators'. The major difference in comparison to the 'Session Variables' would be the fact they could not be modified from the Control Room because they would just store some piece of information about the session (that can change over time but should be independent). Hi All, In Blue Prism System Tab -> System -> Settings, if we do any modifications currently there isn't any 'Apply' button, as all the changes are automatically implemented. If any modifications are done un-intentionally its hard to undo as the resources hardly use this page (unlike the daily usage of other (Environmental Variables or Queues). We had an incident in this page that one of our support resources has been scrolling the mouse wheel and the options in 'Tesseract Engine' were modified and resource isn't aware that they are modified unless they are found during auditing. I noticed when attempting to use XPath to match multiple values, and then iterate through each using Match index does not work.  For example, if I use the following XPath to find multiple matches on a page in Chrome, I can iterate through each using Chrome dev tools: //div[boolean(number(substring-after(@id,"{ID HERE}-"))) or number(substring-after(@id,"{ID HERE}-")) = 0]   In Blue Prism App Modeler, I was expecting for it to build an indexed list of all matches, and then be able to use Match Index to iterate through them.  Unfortunately, this does not function this way; instead, it only returns the first match.   Having this capability - similar to using the same xpath in Chrome dev tools - would be better than other options, such as:  a) Use regex with the web id or class in combination with tag (takes too long for large pages) b) Wildcard matching with the tag attributes (takes too long for large pages)' c) Using a dynamic path with an iterator in the object logic (quicker, but also cumbersome for maintenance in come cases depending on complexity) ... There could be a redaction tool to both the Smart Vision and Region spy modes. Adding a tool to scrub out or cover areas of the screenshots would enable more sharing of code as it’ll be far safer to protect personal information. The screenshots I think are bitmaps and should be fairly easy to implement. A lot of cases I’ve found you get to certain points with automations where you must use live data and the only way I’ve been able to do any sort of redaction in the past is by covering with the Notes app or even screenshotting the desktop and then using the screenshot in paint 3D to redact and then identify elements we need to surface automate with the redacted screenshot. We can redact any personal information in the other spy modes by deleting out the window text etc so figured it’d be worth having in these modes as well if possible. ... View more

Overview: To improve administrative efficiency and support cross-environment configuration management, I propose an enhancement to Chorus that enables users to export multiple processes simultaneously, along with their associated metadata. This includes: Roles Security Groups Entity Defaults Source Types Resources ect... Justification: Currently, exporting process configurations in Chorus is a manual and fragmented task. Administrators must extract each component individually, or manually re-create the component. This is time-consuming and error-prone—especially when migrating configurations between environments or performing audits. This enhancement would: Streamline environment setup and replication. Improve governance and change tracking. Reduce dependency on manual documentation. Whenever you import something into Blue Prism (Process/Object/Release/Skill) the comment on the Version History 'Edit Summary' reads: "business object overwritten by importing a release."  It would be helpful to be able to add some context in place of the standard statement.  As an example, 'Updating Object from v10.0.1 to v10.1.0'. In UK GIDS we have a concept of track changes to allow the clients to provide the specific wording to a letter for a change. To allow the business to review letter packs in full for a Business area in Encorr we have a custom facility to create a letter pack. This is a full output in MS Word format to provide to a client a way to share and complete the track changes to help progress a enhancement. It would be helpful to have a base facility in communication to replicate this action. Currently it is a twice a year process. Hi, This is more of a request than a question but not sure if there is a feature request section. We like to use the Notes element in Studio to give details and context as to what the section is doing, or in an object to explain why something might happen. We are using Notes to do this but they are not really the best, it would be good if this could be updated so it is like a regular text box (such as this). It would be really helpful to be able to format text in sections rather than it just being Centred and all or nothing in terms of size, colour, font etc. This would allow better notes to be added and really bring to life what the automation is doing at that part of the process. ... Add a Find & Replace option to the studio when wanting to replace text in data items or the text in a calculation etc. You currently have to do this manually by searching for text and clicking search to navigate to each part of the process which contains the text searched which can be time consuming. Currently enable sharing on VBO exposes the application model of the base object to be used in other objects. Everything else is not available to the depending object and all actions need to be recreated. It would be great to inherit everything so sharing also works with eg code based VBO and actions could be re-used (and maybe overridden with new action implementation).  Example: We use assets from DX but over time we have to add new actions to the original VBO. After some time we would like to update the object with the most recent version from digitalexchange Importing the new DX object will remove all our new actions, so we have to first create a copy of our current object, import the new one object from DX and then selectively copy the our actions from temp object to newly imported object.  import from DX: DX Asset v1 VBO extend VBO: DX Asset v1 VBO (+new action) copy VBO: DX Asset v1 VBO (+new action) > DX Asset v1 VBO (tmp) import new DX: DX Asset v2 VBO (replacing DX Asset v1 VBO (+new action)) copy Actions: from DX Asset v1 VBO (tmp) > DX Asset v2 VBO (+new action)  It would be much easier if we could create an object and inherit all actions from the base object and only add new action to the extension object. Replacing the base object won't need any additional efforts this way.  Additionally it would be great to override base actions in the extension object to ensure consistent behavior. In case action logic in base object changed. This would also make maintenance easier in case we need to change base actions but don't want to have copies of same actions. eg when we have to amend we have to either change the original action or duplicate the action With override possible, we just have to add an action with the same name to the inheriting object. Could you display the process/object name on the save process pop-up/prompt that appears when closing a process with unsaved changes, so it is clear what process/object you are closing/saving and help prevent closing and not saving a process/object in error. This would be helpful in instances when you have multiple processes/objects open as Blue Prism can randomly switch the process/object that is selected which can result in the wrong process/object being closed in error and unsaved changes being lost if you don't click save changes.  Screenshot below on Save Process pop-up which does not indicate what process/object this is for.    ... We used to be able to add file uploader through an area control through the embedded mode but that functionality apparently has been removed. I would like to have this ability's added back in. Also this still shows in the documentation that Embedded mode is still an option (Chorus 25.1 Form Design Pg 67). According to what I've been told the only option to have file uploader added is now only through the button not the area control, so I'm submitting the ideation to have this added back in through the area control. In UK GIDs we have a Environment with 40+ Business Areas in a single environment (version 21.2.4.4). We are looking to migrate this environment to the cloud and move user community to Processor workspace and Communications. A element of the remediation will be supporting straight through letter creation (Currently Encorr and ST server processing). We currently find Communications limited on finalising a letter on the Design workspace because we have to select the letter from a dropdown when trying to complete the Automation element of Comms. If we could use variables it would allow us to make generic automations to manage all 40 Business areas and volumes of letters without the need for large evaluations considerations. ... View more

Our users do alot of creating of relationships and dragging and dropping.  We find that many times due to volume they are accidentally attaching the wrong things.  We would like the ability to turn the warning "do you really want to create this relationship" off and on (similar to how it was in viewstation). So that majority of the people could have it off but those that need it due to their job function could turn it on as a fail safe from doing the wrong creation. Thank you ... View more
