Request to have a option to come out of Business Object along with warning threshold, so that when BP is struct in between due to popup or other reasons, it should automatically come out of the VBO and we can recover that in process. For Example: If we are working on excel and when we perform Run Macro and if there is any popup BP will be struct until someone manually open the VM and close the process. So if we have automated process to come out of the VBO after the warning threshold, then it will be helpful as we can spy the window and close the popup by using navigate stage.

Would be great to have a hotkey for this because when you have a bug in your process sometimes you are stuck in "step out" so that I only can use the taskmanager to end the automate.exe

Allow users to create 'zones' (shown in the image below) without having to use Blocks. By using Blocks, if there is an error in any of those actions, it will be messed up. By allowing 'zones' or 'frames' for only visual purposes, it allows the user to easily manage their actions/outputs.

Many corporations require a system that has SOX & MICS impacts to have strict password and security settings. One of those settings often requested but not available in Blue Prism is a "User Inactivity Timeout" option that logs the user off after X minutes of inactivity. This would apply to any user logged into the front-end of the Blue Prism application as a controller or admin, not the runtime resources. Any user that does not click on any buttons or new screens in the application would be logged off after X minutes.

When saving an object or process in Studio have BP automatically update the Edit Summary text with the last changes made to the process or object since the last save. This will save on development time and improve accuracy in the save summary.

Mark Processes or Objects as Favorites so this will be visible in a Favorites folder on top of the list. User/developer dont need expand the tree, sometimes the tree has hell lot of levels. To keep the BluePrism nice and tidy, this will be helpfull.

Currently, it is not possible to store output from JSON which has got repeatable element in collection when using Web API. It triggers an exception. I see this as a serious limitation of product functionality as usually you want to store the output in collection with many rows when querying some REST API.

Create the Session Log Viewer as a normal window with maximize minimize functions I cant' even use the windows 10 feate to automatically dock it to a side. Would also be great to save width of coloumns or save the coloumns selection. when I enable or disable a coloumn. It would also be great to have these coloumn functions when in the workqueue overview.

It would be really user friendly if, when you'd updated an environment variable and clicked 'Apply'. that a pop-up window showed what variables were being updated and giving you the option to not change them (in case of something changed in error). Or, could it highlight which environment variables have changed, like it does when you change a scheduled, by putting a '*' next to it ?

BP currently lacks the ability to edit expressions in the Evaluate Expression wizard. This leads to clicking back and forth a lot, and it is time consuming when testing different variable values. Can you make it possible to edit expressions and evaluate them in the same window?

In case a runtime resource is performing only background processes (eg. HTTP requests), it would be beneficial to have it run as a windows service. This would increase flexibility in deployment scenarios and allow BP to move further towards being used as an integration platform. In one specific usecase, we need this as the runtime resource is running on a server (which has the required ports open), but we cannot apply the GPO to prevent user logout, due to different policies applying to servers as opposed to virtual desktops.

The existing design control covers quite a lot in terms of usable syntax and logic errors but it is limited with best practice checking. There should be a base set of configurable best practice controls set up based on peer review documents. Example controls: Overcomplicated pages - Check for X number of stages. Stages that could be sub-pages - Check for duplicate named sequences of stages. Possible infinite loops - Check to ensure a decision stage exists between a set of links that go backwards. Attach stages at the beginning of actions - Check for an attach after a Start stage These are just some possible controls. Rules should be developed based on the existing peer review checklists on the portal. Organisations should have some flexibility in modifying the controls and increasing/decreasing thresholds based on their own needs.

Hi, I am wondering why after so long why is BluePrism doing the auto conversion of Date & Datetime to UTC. It is definitly the most annoying thing in BluePrism. It is literally frustrating to work with anything Date related in the software. Why not give the ability to deactivate this conversion that it always does? Even when your datetime is already in UTC time, it will convert it anyway, making your date so out of whack that it doesn't make sense anymore... and don't get me started on collection with date where you need to loop in the collection. You can get them converted a lot and making your process a lot harder to develop because you need to account for those instead of just doing that yourself if you need to. BluePrism should never touch any variable automatically without the dev actually doing something. using DateTimeKind works for the first time when you output but BluePrism clears that after that point so it doesn't really matter what kind it is. Please let user do their things. I know I am not the only one having trouble with that. I saw in another company devs that were using SQL query to get the "Now()" date instead of Blueprism cause it was more reliable. That's not normal to have to do workaround like that for anything. I've been working with BluePrism since version 4 and this is by far the worse thing that has been following us since then. regards,

At the moment using https on the resourcePC the parameter /sslcert needs the hash value. From my perspective it will be better to use the common name (CN) of the certificate, because the CN won't change if the certificate is renewed, but the hash value will. Therefore there is some maintenance work to do to use the new hash value, which can be prevented by using CN

Hi there, with the AND and OR operators currently available the following expression throws an error when a flag data item is not set. IsFlag([Flag Item]) AND [Flag Item] Returns Error: ... right-hand-value is empty. If Blue Prism would support conditional logical operators like && and || in C# repectively AndAlso and OrElse in VB.NET the expression in this example would be valid. The evalauation of the expression would stop if IsFlag() returns False becuase the whole expression couldn't be True anyway. We could use a single decision stage only and could use this kind of expressions in choices. Currently there are two options: - always set a default value for flags - break the expression mentioned above up in two decisions and execute the second decision only if IsFlag() = True With choices this cannot be handled easily.

I really wish i was able to import a .ics file into the calendar function so i could better control the holidays that is not built in. I would even be satisfied with the possibility to create a custom calendar and only mark the days a process should run, instead of now marking everyday it should not run. For the particular process in mind, i would have to mark 353 days as holidays, to get the desired option.

When using an action stage currently all individual objects and processes are in an unfolded treeview. I'd like to request 2 new features / changes; - Collapsed items in the treeview in stead of expanded. - Search function which will only show objects that match the search term.
