In Blue Prism Decipher IDP v1.2 RabittMQ password is shown in plain text on installing or changing Decipher Licensing Service Setup. This behavior adds no value to the product but adds the risk to show secret passwords to randomly spying people or when forgetting to post process screenshots for documentations. Please hide password in RabbitMQ password field.

Currently the "Create Source" function offered by the Utility task in Design Studio only allows for a source to be created from a Content ID - so effectively can only be used in a Capture process where the Content ID is already known and the content is already present in the image store. For the main "Create Source" use case, where the *content* is already known, but the ID isn't, the "createObjects" operation on the AWD Processing Service SOAP web service must be used, so:
The call goes out of the container and back in through the web server, creating a new execution thread in the process, rather than being a simple inline call from the Service Engine
As a separate execution thread, that update is in a separate database transaction, so won't roll back if an error down the line in the current process triggers a transaction rollback

In our shop, when we are ready with a process adjustment, we do the 4i check and the 'Process Comparison' window helps us with that. After the approved 4i check we can deploy the changes to production. This time, I got a change count exceeding 300 and spread all over the place. At that point the 'Process Comparison' window becomes less useful, if not useless. This has happened before when doing major overhaul on a process stretched over longer time. In these cases, instead of the compare window, it would be much more helpful to present the differences in a report, say XL or CSV. I can then filter and highlight the relevant changes and present only these in the 4i meeting. Happy coding! ---------------- Paul Sweden

Please add ability to delete multiple environment variables at once (in settings tab). Overall managing environment variables is one of my least favorite things about blue prism. I can't help but feel like there's a better way.

The current "overnighter" BIPURGE job only currently hits the BI schema in the reporting database, not the OA star schema. This means that any clients using the OA schema instead of/in addition to the BI schema can't take advantage of this job to regularly purge old BI data for completed work as a regular BAU activity. Suggestion would be to enhance BIPURGE, or (better?) add a new "DIMENSIONALPURGE" batch job, in the same way we have two BI mapper jobs. N.B: Using DID can/will get rid of OA data - but that's not a BAU utility, due to the need to identify/stage purge candidates in advance of execution.

As many web automation developers know, Blue Prism is not ideal/very fast in regards to web elements, especially on certain frameworks. Chrome itself is not ideally handled in Blue Prism at all, especially the need for specific versions etc. All this can be resolved simply by creating a new mode specific for Chrome with the use of the Puppeteer library. I believe, this would open the door for Blue Prism into web RPA using Chrome where people need fast speed, which is not possible with current Blue Prism capabilities.

With Increase in the number of automated processes, it becomes very difficult to search for an object while working on a new process. If Blueprism can provide a search feature in Action stage where developer can search for a required object that will really help in searching for the required object,. also if we can show recently used objects in Action stage that will really help to speed up the development phase, since few action of an object needs to be utilized in a sequential manner to achieve target, like for Excel VBO we create instance, then create work book, then read/write from it. We have more than 500 objects so i really understand the pain of not having this feature. I have attached a possible design of to be Action stage.

When working on your process or object in Studio, all tools you need are on the screen - tools on the left, buttons and menus on top. This is a great arrangement as long as you're developing or maintaining your processes. However, when you are testing or doing a demo, all that stuff gets in the way and limits your real-estate on the screen. You need to have access to as much space as you can. Typically, you don't want to maximize BP as other apps the process interfaces with are also on the screen. Wouldn't it be nice if you could click away the toolbar on the left and the menus on top? Customizing in style with Office, Eclipse, RDi, Visual Studio, ... - all other IDE's! Now, you might argue that if there's too much on the screen it is about time to split some of it off into new pages. Correct, I agree to that. Unfortunately, we still have to live with the legacy stuff that was made in the early BP years and we're not supposed to re-factor everything we see when we're only going to do a smal tweak to the process. Also, for a demo it would be nice to have a clean screen only displaying the process itself, without all the extra's in order not to divert the attention from what you're trying to demo.

Hi Team,
As AS IS process is a important part of our RPA project and sometimes can be more time taking and not very interesting task for a BA, Why not automate this ?
Can we create a BP Process Bot(Say BP Documentor) which when running on SMEs machine can allows you to capture AS IS process in a form of step-by-step manual with screenshots and text instructions.
A BOT which silently is running as a background process monitors actions of the subject matter expert and his team and generates word or PDF or video file containing screenshots, data or keys used or the attributes or differences if they perform while doing some task and of what is happening on the screen. After exporting, you can save the session in a document for further editing to be done by a BA or PEX or create a skeleton of a Blue Prism Solution with detailed notes for the developer who would be afterwards implementing the solution.
The same Bot can be running N number of a times for a single process but with different Project Team members making sure it captures all the running steps what all team members are performing and find out if they are performing some steps which are different in between. This can be make sure to minimize miscommunication when capturing the process to be automated. Rather than doing workshops and listening to the customer, you can give him/her a tool that would listen for you.

When you rename a data item or collection, you are asked,"Do you want to change the name in the referenced action?" I want a function that confirmation comes out. If possible, it is good to come out only when you change from the initial value.

It is in fact the age of the dark background, and while maybe that is a step too far for Blue Prism though I would love it, I would at least love to have something that isn't the white light of Blue Prism studio/control room burning into my retinas ~5 hours a day. Some ability to control background would be nice, even just to mute the white light a little. Even better would be a good dark mode

I would like to improve the logging in Blue Prism. I'd rather see that there were the log levels emergency, critical, alert, error, warning, debug, informational, and notice, which is one of the most normal set. These levels should be able to be set on each stage, and then on object and/or process level, you can set which level should be logged, and therefore changed by just altering this value, which stages is logged. By this, we could easily have a fine level of logging on development and debugging, while on normal runs, we could set this on only emergency or critical to lower logging volumes.

Create utiilty to enable import of an excel (*.csv) formatted spreadsheet from Processor workspace. UX screen will need to enable mapping of columns to Chorus BPM data fields with options to include/exclude column. Need to include a preview that states what will happen (i.e. 27 new UNIT - WRKT transactions will be created with the following data fields ACCT, SSNO, AMT, etc.) Each row will create new transaction (Case or Transaction) in Chorus BPM and they will execute the related process flow. This utility will enable sunset of some RIP feeds and enable rapid ingestion of data into the system that is currently locked in Excel spreadsheets.

Add a hotkey+scroll shortcut to hop between page tabs. At the moment we can hover the mouse over the page list drop down arrow and use the mouse scroll wheel to move between pages. This means moving the mouse to a small target area first however and I would argue takes more time and effort than just selecting the relevant page tab or using the drop down list. With a hotkey+scroll combo it doesn't matter where on the screen the mouse cursor is and would facilitate fast and easy page hopping, especially between nearby pages. We currently have the following mouse scroll wheel shortcuts (that I know of):
CTRL+SCROLL : scroll viewport left/right
SHIFT+SCROLL : zoom in/out
ALT+SCROLL doesn't seem to do anything at this stage.

In BPv6.10 we have setup a multi-team-environment and access to certain folders is restricted; Sometimes users are getting an error message when trying to run a process in Control Room: "Failed to create session on [...] Cannot create session as user does not have execute permission on one or more of the processes dependencies". It would be very helpful to include in this error message which dependencies the user does not have permission for so that it can be fixed quickly.

When user tries to do a save as operation then created object/process goes to default location, we should have an option to save the process/object to a desired folder in the folder hierarchy of blue-prism. Currently over COE does not allow to move object here and there but we can create them, second step is to raise a service ticket to move this object/process to desired folder. This is a very basic functionality and we should have this.

Currently (BP 6.9) when DB file size reaches its limit (or disk size or whatever might prevent writing new records) the BP environment might sill be up and running but new session logs are not created. We had the case when one of our DB was with size quota and when reaching the max size following happend:
release imports failed (with DB error message, which is fine and expected)
Scheduler kept running and executing processes
Sessions logs were not created
Audit logs were written (but probably because they still fit in existing free space)
In order to comply with IT security, internal audit and industry regulations, it is obligatory to have logs created in any case. Not being able to write logs should not be ignored by Blue Prism but users has to be notified. Possible options:
write the error to session log (in hope a single record would still fit in free space but as well very likely run into the same problem as the execution logs)
write an error in audit logs (might also run into no space issue but in our case it was still working. Bigger issue is the audit logs have to be actively monitored otherwise it will go unnoticed)
terminate the process and show it as terminated in Control (currently processes might still run or fail according to their logic and not because of DB issues)
...
Probably terminating the execution is the most viable option before processes could run for days (in our case) without creating any logs.

When opening a CSD, launch a process, run a search, create a relationship, or create work in the modern processor workspace, it always opens to the same default window size, with is generally too small.
A good example of a process that is impacted is the Caller Authentication guided process, which is run by the GIDS phone team for every single phone call. Currently, the associate would have to resize the window for every single phone call.
There appears to be a couple needs here:
Windows for work objects should open to the size of the CSD or workflow form, or maximum window size.
When we resize a work type, it should retain that size for all instances of the same work type. Currently, Chorus only retains it for the specific instance that was resized.
Search results and relationship windows should retain their preferred size for new searches/relationships. Also, the default size should be at least large enough to display 3 or 4 items.

It is not possible to use HTTP command on runtime resources when SSO authentication is used (which should be standard). So with SSO authentication all HTTP runtime resource interfaces will not work. Even HTTP would be the preferred way to go (SAS, decoupling, ...) Also it would be great to sync the commands between automatec and HTTP since different commands are available with different parameters and they work differently http://<runtimeresource>:8181/status >> USER NOT SET http://<runtimeresource>:8181/user%20<userid>&password%20<password>&status >> USER SET >> AUTHENTICATION FAILED >> USER NOT SET http://<runtimeresource>:8181/sso&status >> INVALID COMMAND - user 'help' >> USER NOT SET
