Currently when enabling Active Directory authentication for Blue Prism, it forces SSO. Please add option to switch from SSO to manual login (username & password prompt) with an AD account. For example in our DEV environment, we use robot accounts (which has the required system access rights what are used in the process) that are used to login to development resource machines to do the development on. We are doing this to simulate how they are ran in production environment. These robot accounts have not been added to Blue Prism user roles or given access rights to log in to Blue Prism. This in turn means that we can't launch in a normal way, when the SSO is forced on. This will give an error that user is not authorized to connect to the Blue Prism server. We have circumvented this by adding a separate batch script that prompts username & password (which has access rights to Blue Prism) to launch automate.exe with -> sends those credentials to Blue Prism server and allows login.

Clients need the ability to print Comms letter output to different letter trays, so that headed, plain and continuation paper can be used. UK BPO have been testing with the following product versions: - AWD version 21.2 - AWDCommunicationsWordAdd-In version 2.5.1 - DocumentRenderer version 2.3 For EnCorr, they used MediaColor (Microsoft Word) to identify the type of paper for printing. • If the MediaColor = blue, the document will print on plain paper • If the MediaColor = white, the document will print on headed paper • If the MediaColor = pink, the document will print on continuation paper To see the MediaColor, we need to open Word > File > Options > Advanced > tick at 'Show field codes instead of their values'. (Please see attachment) Issue: For Communication - After we created the document on Communication, we sent the Document to print by accessing AWD portal > Manage > Data > Document Delivery We found that the documents are printed on incorrect paper because the document are sent in .pdf format. We understood that the documents created in communications are created as .pdf files. Printer only print the output of the document from Communication, therefore, it is in PDF format. To summarise, the MediaColor doesn't work on PDF format. Without MediaColor (or some other solution), the letter can't print on the correct paper.

Blue Prism's built-in version control system for Processes and objects is a great feature to allow comparison of code versions and updates. One aspect of it that's not great, however, is rollback. While it's possible to rollback a process or object to a previous version by opening the old version in comparison view, exporting it and then re-importing it, it's not easy to find and it's not intuitive. I'd like to see a straightforward mechanism for version rollback. It could perhaps be a simple right-click option when you have a process or object version selected in the history view called 'Make active version' or something similar. An indicator could then be added to the history view to enable easy identification of which version is currently exposed to the control room.

Need the ability to identify the template assigned to the Composition and change the template within the Modify option on an existing letter as needed. Within the new Chorus Communication product when you add a Composition (letter) you are given the option to select the Template, this option is not available when you try to Modify the Composition. This option would be beneficial if the client chooses to change the font or layout of the Composition.

Currently the print file copy is available in Communications however; the ability to apply a watermark is not available.
Currently in Encorr, you are able to print a ‘file copy’ of the document that was saved with a watermark of ‘File Copy’ on it.
Communications does not provide a mechanism to selectively print a watermarked 'file copy' of a letter as EnCorr does. To address the shortcoming, the client duplicates the letter makes modifications within the body of the shareholder or dealer letter. It is clumsy as there is no watermark capability & client would prefer the functionality be restored.

Time functions are a mess. Today() = local date (but it is not documented as so) LocalTime() = local time ! UTCTime() = UTC time ! Now() = UTC DateTime Where are UTCToday() and LocalNow() ? Functions to convert between local and UTC directly in the calculator would be awesome too.

To whom it may concern, We’d like to set an execution day to execute RPA and we’d like to execute RPA depending on what day of business day is today on a monthly basis as well. For example, if you want to execute it on the 5th business day of every month, you need to create a new calendar and set all the days other than the 5th business day as holidays now. This requires a lot of work and is prone to errors. We’d like you to settle this issue. We hope to hear from you.

Sometimes we need to measure the performance of a process over a period of time, and there are many elements that can be measured in this like process execution time at different times, the total number of errors(both application and business), bot machine configuration, bot success vs failure percentage, and any SLA breaches between a time range. This information can be converted into a well-formatted dashboard(we can use excel to create the dashboard) and passed to the concerned person to take action(if any) This automation would need one input argument ‘process name’. For that process name, the information can be retrieved from the backend via control room APIs. Once the data is retrieved, it can be passed to the pre-formatted excel file(you need to create an excel file template beforehand, where you just need to overwrite your output) to generate the output. After that, the file can be saved to drive or can be sent to the concerned person via email. This automation is generic in nature and can be used in any business process.

There is currently only a dashboard tile that provides real-time information on license usage. It would be really useful to be able to track license usage over time to identify the busiest periods and to help with projections and future planning. Even access the stored procedure in the Blue Prism database that is used by the dashboard tile would be sufficient as it could be used in a tool such as Power BI. A better option would be a built in report that could provide a graph to indicate what times and what resources have the highest resource usage.

The Control Room calendar currently does not function for 'working days' outside of the first and last. Financial Services would benefit greatly from an enhancement to provide working days options to these calendars. You can set up a calendar to exclude all dates, aside from the working day you want (once you have worked out what date the working day is of each month). However, there is a huge amount of maintenance with this and therefore greater risk of error. You can also only select one date at a time (multi-select options would be good here). I currently have a process to calculate the working day appended to the start of each of my processes; so the workers spend needless amounts of time and effort logging in and checking the working day, only to log out again with no action being taken as many processes work on just a few different working days per month. So in summary - the idea is to have a working days option factored into the Control Room calendar and allow multi-select options for the selected dates.

Comparing version history feature( System> History> Compare selected process/object) is helpful to see the changes side by side but it doesnt't show changes made in Application Modeller in an object . If i change some elements in App Modeller in an object and save it , and then try to compare this with a version previous the Version no changes would be shown in both objects

It would be helpful to have an additional filter on the Digital Exchange landing page. The filter would state 'Only show assets published (or 'deployed') in the last 'X' 'days/weeks/months'. The 'X' would be numeric text entry field, and the 'days/weeks/months' would be a dropdown menu. Conversely, you could make it only 'Days' and put the math(s) on us.

Hi, I would like to seperate how a System Exception (SE) and how a Business Exception (BE) is shown in control room. Today a BE have the same icon as a SE (a purple flag), I usually like to see a BE as that the automaton have "completed" it from a robotic point of view. I understand that the concept is that its an exception is needed to be handled manually. And i also understand that there can be several different types of exceptions (Internal, Login Failed ect), So my suggestion is that on the Exception Types configuration (System Tab), we should be able to set the icons that is shown in the work queue in control room depending on the Exception types. As an example, set an green flag instead of an purple one for BE?

Dear Blue Prism developers, I am working with Blue Prism since 2015 and literally each of our customers is asking about the same thing which is still not implemented in Blue Prism. It is some kind of view where you can see how robots are occupied with current processes in production. There is recent activity view and Timetable currently in Blue Prism but they do not show you name of the resource PC and it is a very crucial bit of information when planning robots in reality having some processes live in place. Please provide this functionality as soon as you can please!

As per the client's request, there is a need to enhance AWDCapture to enable Chorus to capture the entire mail header using the email capture function. Subsequently, this captured header will be passed to AWD design as an "emailstart" element.
In the workflow design, the client will be able to retrieve the mail header element and capture the sender's address using the keyword "Resend-from".

Hi, when a user in Interact fills the form and clicks on submit button it would be good for certain cases not to go to Submission folder and Inbox to see what was the robot response if any. The way this could be designed that on the form level when we design it we could say whether the response should go to Inbox or straight away to be displayed to the user. This would save several clicks in a user interaction. Of course, this would be for specific case that's why it should be part of design of the form. Thanks.

If BPASession table is defragmented, then literally an hour later it is fragmented back by 40% or more.
The reason for this behavior is that the table has a clustered index on the sessionid field, which has a unique identifier type
When a new row is added, a unique GUID is generated for it, since it is not sequential, then the insertion occurs not at the “end”, but at the “center” of the table with a very expensive splitting operation.
According to MS SQL algorithms, page splitting occurs as follows:
A new page (8Kb) is allocated and a half of the primary is copied to it, then a new line is inserted on the primary page. On average, adding a new line to BPASession results in copying / moving 15 “old” lines. Which leads to strong fragmentation.
There are three ways of how to resolve this:
- Generate a new GUID, not by the NEWID () function, but by the NEWSEQUENTIALID () function, which creates sequential GUIDs.
- move the cluster index from the BPASession.sessionid column to the BPASession.sessionnumber column of type INT IDENTITY (1,1)
- move the cluster primary key from the BPASession.sessionid column to the BPASession.sessionnumber column
