I think it would be useful to have a listener service for the runtime resources as it uses the login agent to avoid that a task, a policy, or a batch file must be executed , so that the listener of each runtime starts from a services instead of diferents ways as menction before , this would also give more speed in the publication and would require less tasks for an administrator

As we develop a process on daily basis. Count of environment variable increases day by day. Although all environment variable store in dictionary format i.e. in alphabetic order. But still its a big task to search environment variable from that long list of pages. We should include search functionality there as same as process and object search in studio tab.

Right now the version history of an object / process only shows us the date and time of a saved change including a small portion of the text provided on saving. There is no column for storing a process-/ object-version. I think it is nessecary - especially if you have multiple Blue Prism environments - that you can store a version info for processes/objects. This info should be shown in the version history and transfered to other environments by importing releases and XML-files. Let's say you have an Environment for developing, one for testing and one for production. You could end up with three different versions in those environments at a given time. The date and time of the change is not enough to my opinion, because - this info is lost when importing a release - you could roll back to an older version by exporting and importing. This old version would then be on the top of the list with a new timestamp. What do you think about the possibility to set a version inside the process-/object-Studio?

Add the functionality to be able to move stages within the process & object studio using the arrow keys on a keyboard. Currently the only way to move stages is by using the mouse and this can prove difficult when attempting to move and restructure sections of a process/object. The application doesn't respond well to moving stages with a mouse and can lag making it difficult to move and align with other stages of a process/object. Adding functionality to move with arrow keys would enable us to move stages with more precision and in a user friendly way.

Many of our clients want to build the infrastructure for Blue Prism into their existing IT environment, which is often Server based only. They do not run any Windows 10 or Windows 11 VMs, so they want to build Server OS machines for the runtime resources. We have successfully used Windows Server 2012 and Server 2016 with Desktop Experience as runtime resources. These were supported according to older documentation. Currently, it is shown that Windows Server is not supported at all for Runtime Resources. I raised a ticket about it, and they say Windows Server is not supported, although it might work. It would be very useful for there to be support for Windows Server OS for runtime resources, as a number of our clients are reluctant to build Win 10 or Win 11 machines, and we have successfully been using Server 2012 and 2016. As these versions are getting quite old now, I would like Server 2019 (and newer versions) to be supported.

With the Releases panel being te mess it is, it does not cater for organizing the long list of packages made over the years. The possibility by higher management to not allow the deletion of old releases does not contribute to the situation. What I'd like to have is the possibility to add folders on the Release panel. These can be used to organize the packages made over the years and result in some order in the chaos that is the Releases panel today. Each department running RPA can have its own folder. Old packages can be moved to dedicated folders that management has the ability to clean-up on request. Happy coding! --------------- Paul Sweden

As BP 7.2 is moved to 64bit, could you please move Java version on Data Gateway(logstash) to 64bit Java. Currently there is no option to choose latest version on Data Gateways. So please make configuration more robust for updating the version on Java. This will allow to refer any latest version of Java(64 bit).

Hi, it would be very useful add a button Download into the Fields Form Interact.
Very useful when user need download a template (.xlsx , for example) to fill out and upload it into the same form
Useful when exists some static files that users need to download in the "MY WORKS" request
I hope that could be develop in future!

Allow users to create 'zones' (shown in the image below) without having to use Blocks. By using Blocks, if there is an error in any of those actions, it will be messed up. By allowing 'zones' or 'frames' for only visual purposes, it allows the user to easily manage their actions/outputs.

It would be great to have the ability to debug (i.e. stepping line by line, setting breakpoints etc.) inside a code stage. This would make it easier to identify where the errors occur and would save us a lot of time when developing objects with code stages. If we could see the variable values while debugging in a code stage (like in i.e Excel VBA) that would also be very useful.

Currently Blue Prism does not allow to remove all tags for item. you need to remove one by one tag from item. For example - Item has Tag1, Tag2, Tag3, Tag4 then you have to get all tags then put in loop and remove one by one. There should be option to remove all tags in one go.

Currently the bprelease package can be exported and if taken out of organization , it can be imported to any environment across any organization which is against the IP rights of the original organization. It practically defies the definition of security compliance. There should be an option to password protect functionality or using RBAC to control the bprelease import within the same org only.

Essentially, users should be able to delete any useless and unreferenced data items/collections with a single click. This option can assist decrease the amount of code that is superfluous. In a large automation project, this could be a high-value component.

Many corporations require a system that has SOX & MICS impacts to have strict password and security settings. One of those settings often requested but not available in Blue Prism is a "User Inactivity Timeout" option that logs the user off after X minutes of inactivity. This would apply to any user logged into the front-end of the Blue Prism application as a controller or admin, not the runtime resources. Any user that does not click on any buttons or new screens in the application would be logged off after X minutes.

This is a minor issue in the grand scheme of things but would, nonetheless, make a big difference to the user experience. When you have a modal dialog open in Process Studio (eg calculation properties), it prevents you from doing things elsewhere in the application. Moreover, unless, you understand the issue, it's not clear what's going on. There is also a functional downside in that, for example, one calculation stage cannot easily be compared to another, across two processes, because of this restriction. Solution: for optimum experience, the modal dialog should be modal in relation to its parent window only (ie Process Studio)

There are a lot of companies relying on the digital worker to get data from invoices, other PDF documents and there are no in built actions available for pdf automation, which are present in other RPA softwares which they are taking advantage, i would be really helpful if a set of actions are added to Blue prism which deals with the PDF automation.

We are forced to use the migration strategy when upgrading Blue Prism because we need the following features.
The original environment can remain operational during the upgrade (Fallback!)
Advantage of a clean start (Performance!)
NO Downtime is required to perform the upgrade (Stability!)
Follow link for more details: High-level upgrade strategies (blueprism.com)
But there is some potential for optimization with the migration strategy.
Please add a feature to Blue Prism Automate for exporting and importing credentials.
The passwords should be encrypted for security reason.
There need to be the same encryption key in the target environment.
After the import another encryption key can be generated to re-encrypt all credentials and the old credential key could be deleted.
Please add a feature to Blue Prism Automate for exporting and importing work queue items.
When encryption is used the transport of affected information should be encrypted at export.
The encryption key for the work queue need to be transferrable / reusable in the target system.
After the transfer of the data the old encryption scheme should be replaceable by a new one.
The main benefits of these features are...
Safe and secure transfer of credentials and work queue items on migration.
More flexibility for switching between environments outside of migrations.
Less effort for building and maintaining workarounds when trying to create an alternative transfer solution.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Mark Processes or Objects as Favorites so this will be visible in a Favorites folder on top of the list. User/developer dont need expand the tree, sometimes the tree has hell lot of levels. To keep the BluePrism nice and tidy, this will be helpfull.

When saving an object or process in Studio have BP automatically update the Edit Summary text with the last changes made to the process or object since the last save. This will save on development time and improve accuracy in the save summary.
